What Time for Extra Magic Hour?

Our last trip they had done away with EE and previously you could enter the park, MK, about 30 minutes or so before EE actually started. With security checks, when can you actually enter the park on EMH days?

We went in October for EMH and had to wait til 8 o'clock to get in. They didn't let anyone in early.

EMH is one hour before regular park hours, They have a new Character opening with many characters arriving at The Main Street Railroad Station (on the train) and a small ceremony to officially open the Park for the day so everyone is held in front until completed, appx at 8:00am.
