What time does the parking lot open at AK when the park opens at 9:00

If I have an 8:00 am PS for Breakfastasaurus in AK, will I be able to drive to the park that morning? It was mentioned on another thread that I would have to take Disney transportation b/c the parking lot won't be open yet. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks so much in advance.

This is from my experience 3 years ago doing the exact same thing. The parking lot opened at 8am plus or minus depending on the workers. We then parked, went just inside the ticket gates and then waited for about 10 minutes for them to call our names and walk us to the restaurant.

I assume the lot still needs to open at 8am since you do not have to be a resort guest to get an 8am PS.

I went to the AK breakfast in 2003 and I drove my car. We had to wait until the park opened to be able to leave into the park though. Neverthe less we had a bit of a head start. We managed to be the first people on Dinosaur. Next time though I think I'd head to Kilamanjari Safari first.
