I’m sure this has been asked, but I couldn’t find a recent thread: What time does Southwest open up their schedule on the scheduled day? Supposed to open tomorrow 5/31 thru Jan 9 and wonder if it’s still 7 am EST-ish? TIA

In my experience there's some wiggle room, 7 am Eastern but often a bit later. Some here have claimed to get in minutes before 7 am.

We've had it as early as 6:20am and as late as 8:30am. My general rule of thumb is to start checking around 6-6:15am.

I'm wanting to book flights for December.
I've heard it can be as late as 10:30am eastern.
I'm hoping its early in the morning because I have a Dr's appt at 9:45am and I'll need to leave the house at 9am.
I'll also be sad if I get up at 6:30-7am and its not open because I could sleep a bit longer.

I believe last time i was booking for April, so window opened in August - I was online at 6am EST, but it was closer to 6:30am when the flights showed up.

Rats lol
I was hoping it would be midnight. I was more prepared to stay up late than get up early. Trying to fly from STl to Orlando in November.

Good luck everyone

When I booked back in February, for August, I received my confirmation email at 6:40 am EST. I think they ended up being released around 6:35 am.

Are the flights a lot cheaper if you book them when they are just released? Looking for the end of November trip as well.

They can be depending on your exact dates, the flights you choose, and where you are flying out of. But there are certainly times where the flights prices are crazy high when released and then drop dramatically a few days or weeks later. Prices can rise and fall several times a day even. Airlines like to play games like that.
My vacation package has been booked since September of last year so as long as the prices aren't insanely high I will be buying immediately to ensure I have transportation in order.

Thank you @Queen of the WDW Scene ! I hate the games airlines play too, I've been checking everyday- so far only fluctuating by $30 to $50 or so. Hoping to get cheaper flights out of Philadelphia or Newark.

The website says dates open through January 6, 2019 but you can't book dates past November 3rd......

Prices will decide whether we go the week after Thanksgiving (peferred) or December 15-22.

Considering I have all of my ADRs booked and a couple of extras booked already, I am really hoping the November prices won’t be terrible!
