What time does Security Open?

Hello,
What time does security open at MK in June? We wish to take the monorail from MK to the Wave for breakfast pre-park.

If the official park opening is 9am, main street opens at 8am, security opens by 7:30am

Why does "security" figure into this?
From where will you be coming?

Are you trying to take a WDW bus from a WDW resort to MK, then going to the Contemporary?
Are you driving to TTC/MK parking lot, then taking the monorail?

From MK, your other choice is just making the short walk to the Contemporary.

We will be parking at MK (staying off site). I'd like to ride over to the Contemporary, then ride the monorail back to MK after we are done. I figure we'd have to clear security to get on the monorail. It's been 3 years since we've been, and I though that I'd heard that security had moved. If we don't have to clear security, great, that moves us along even faster.

You have to go through the Security checkpoint at the TTC before loading onto the Resort Monorail.

If you have a 7:30a Wave breakfast, park at Contemporary and then move your car after breakfast.

The earliest we’ve been through TTC screening is 7:15a. Then we had to wait for a Resort Monorail... we had to check-in for a KTTK tour at 7:45.

Remember that parking "at MK" is not at the MK gates.
It is at TTC, far across the Seven Seas Lagoon from MK gates.

@FreesiaE - Yes. We had plenty of time and had to wait at the tunnel entrance.

We’ve had 7:30a breakfasts at The Wave before and they always had room for walk-ins so you should be fine.
