What Time Do You Get To The Park In The Morning?

We're going next week - what time would you get to the Magic Kingdom (or Epcot or MGM) front gate on a non-EMH day. In the old days, they used to let people go onto Main Street before the 9 a.m. opening - like at 8:30 or before. Then when we went in 2002, 9:00 opening meant that NO ONE went thru the turnstile until 9:00 on the dot. What is it like now?

I would try to be there before the official opening. going early is always a better option.

We were there in December and they let people in before the official opening and held them on Main Street (or by Spaceship Earth in Epcot) until 9AM. We got into MK earliers, at 8 AM because we had a PS at Crystal Palace. I love doing that because we are done with breakfast in time for the park opening! We get a character breakfast but don't lose any park time.

DH and I always straggle in about 8:30, 9 a.m. after the rush has cleared, then head for PoC. He has to ride that FIRST before anything else. Ugh! What a little kid!

Just returned today, every day was different, some days not EMH days they would let you in so far, other days you could go straight on the rides.

Magic Kingdom has the Charcters coming in on the train before you can go any further.

MGM let us in 8:45, only to the end of the shops, shops were open.

Epcot made you wait at space ship earth.

What we did find though on the EMH days they let non resort guests in at 830.

For the MK we get there around 8:20 am. But we love doing a character breakfast at the Crystal Palace at 8:05am, so we can be let in early.

WE are not morning people and are lucky to get anywhere by 10:30 or 11! LOL

we get there at least a hlaf hour ealry - normally more like an hour

we're planning on getting to each of the parks once at their regular openings
the other 10 mornings we'll go to the parks after we hit the pools

We always try to arrive earlier than the official opening..they often open earlier!
By the way-see you are a Wicked fan-I just have to say that Wicked was the best show we have ever seen on Broadway!!!

For 7:00 am and usually at the park by 8:30. I travel ALONE so this is why I am able to do this! Other times, I am there around 9:00 or 9:30 am.

Just as soon as I can get myself out of bed....I am off for the parks....some days that is later than others...depending on how hard I hit the parks the day before!
