What time do they usually let you on the ship?

Hello all....question for you guys....we are leaving three weeks from today in the morning flight out of LaGuardia airport...as of right now it is 8:15 a.m. and we get in to Orlando at 11. We can fly standby on the 6:15 a.m. flight...getting us into Orlando at 8:50 a.m.....but my question is what time do they start letting people on the ship? If we get into Orlando early...when do they start taking people to Port Canaveral since we have Disney transportation. There are pro's and con's about going early...basically if there is a problem with the flight you have more time to get down there....but if they don't start taking people to the port until say 12:00 noon then we would end up hanging out in the airport for like 3 hours......so c'mon all....need some imput and suggestions....and I do know that as soon as I get on board I will find the welcome aboard buffet with those big shrimps...
Thanks for the imput...
Tom

Tom - I love reading your posts/replies/etc. You definately are enthused - wish DH was (still hasnt told me if he's cruisin or not and I refuse to mention it- actually it's hard but Im doing my best not to)
Do you think we are more enthused because we have cruised before and have some idea of what to expect?
Maybe we'll run into you at the shrimp bowl - lol. I obviously havent told DH about his options of either Parrot Cay or Topsiders. If he's with us I'll do either, if not DS & I will see you up on top of the MAGIC 3wks from today.

About your question - I have no idea, sorry. Ive read that the port opens at 1030 but I dont know what time the first bus leaves MCO. Maybe you should call DCL to get the exact time.

Meet ya soon :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

You know....although I will turn 50 on the ship....I still get excited about the cruising....being treated special and not having to do anything but relax if I don't want to do is priceless....and ofcourse...now I can do it from a verandah.....and we will be booking next years on the ship...so I have something else to look forward to.....hope hubby comes along with ya....and maybe he is just trying to bust em a little with ya....but hang out with all of us if he doesen't.....but yes....I can talk and post forever when talking about the Magic or the World!
See you guys in 3 weeks.....
Tom

They usually let people onto the ship around 12:15PM. One our three cruises, that's the time they opened up the gangway to get onboard the ship.

It's so exciting!

Haven't actually done this myself, but have read on the boards that the first bus leaves the airport around 10-10:30 so by the time you got your luggage and checked with a cruise representative, you wouldn't have too much time to wait. Plus if you're on the first flight out of your airport in the morning, your chances of being delayed are less. If you can go for the same price and it's not too difficult, I'd take the earlier flight. Besides, you won't sleep the night before anyway :D
Have a great trip!
