Are you bugged by any particular type of thread?

Just for the record, none of them bug me - I like variety.:D

There are none that really bug me. There are posts that bug me but really no specific types of threads. There are threads I have no interest in but I just don't click on them.

I can't vote... you didn't give a choice for none of the above.

Threads don't bother me at all... if I don't like what's in them or not interested, I just ignore them and go on to the next thread.

I'll open pretty much every thread out there, most out of curiosity, some because I'm interested, some because I have something to say.

I'll still open a thread even if I don't have anything to say because I enjoy reading them, even if they get a little nasty at times.

My answer isn't on your list. It is "None of the above". The ones that bug me are those on which 2 or more posters resort to name calling, insults, etc. What's the point? Someone states an opinion - if you don't like it, ignore it. Why feel the need to make a reply that implies "You're wrong and an idiot, too"?

Same as above, none really. What I do get bothered by, BIG time, is when 'people' jump all over others, oftentimes in unison, methodically, predictably. Those posts and posters I have no use for.

What Dan said....::yes:: Oh, and by the way, I am at 10,001 POSTS!:earseek: :teeth: ::yes:: :bounce:

This is the way I feel. I am bugged more by certain posts rather than by certain threads.

Certain threads don't bug me. What bugs me or makes me upset is when people pick apart what someone says. They'll take everything someone says literally and analyze what the person says, like there is some hidden meaning behind every word or phrase.

Just kidding! :Pinkbounc  :bounce:

No topic really bugs me because I can just choose not to read if I'm not interested. However, I don't like purposely vague or misleading thread titles. Please don't try to "trick" me into reading a thread .

And I am occasionally bothered when one person posts many VERY similar threads over the course of few hours (e.g. let's-all-write-out-a-song's-lyrics-a-phrase-at-a-time threads, look-at-this-funny-picture threads). Sometimes doing that bumps other people's threads down so quickly that they can get "lost" :(.

Most threads are not my cup of tea but they hold interest to SOMEONE here so they don't bug me. Just as I know some things I am interested in don't interest other people, I realize that people have their own things they wish to discuss. That's the nature of a discussion board.

I do agree with the others that people who come in with ignorant or nasty remarks give me the heebie jeebies, it truly says nothing about their victim but everything about THEM. If only they know how it makes them look.

Oh, yeah -

I am sometimes uncomfortable when people post threads involving extremely personal things about their friends or family members. It's bad enough to post things like that about yourself, but to embarrass your spouse, children, or friends?? It makes me think, "I hope my family would never post stuff like that about me."

And I also don't like ridiculous pity-party threads. A hypothetical (and overly ridiculous) example :teeth: - someone hinting that Disney owes them something because it rained every day on their trip.

It sounds like I hate all threads, but really it's just a few pet peeves ::yes::. I love the DIS .

Hey congratulations on the big 10,001!:) I suppose post count threads must bug SOMEONE - but not me!:teeth:

Threads that hang from the bottom of my skirt.
I can ignore all the others if I want to,but... I also don't like it
when someone is asking for a little sympathy and another
poster says,"quit whining and get over it!" I think that's
mean. It makes me think,"Hey Doctor Laura, when did you
start posting on the DIS and please get off!?"
Threads asking for advice always set me up because see... if
someone asks for advice, I think they should get some and I
often hate the advice I give. Does that make sense?
I'm done now.

PD/P get on my nerves after awhile. I have sick relatives and just went through an operation and so on but didn't feel everyone needed to know about it some days I feel they are very genuine other days it is like they are fishing for compliments and so on maybe it is ust my pain meds lateley after the operation who knows.

I don't think any threads really bug me. There are a lot on the list that I'm not interested in so I just skip them, but they don't bug me. If there's a thread I am interested in and it takes a turn for the worse, I just close it. I have enough stress in my real life...I wish I could just click away all the "bad" stuff like I can on here! How great would that be?!?::yes::

::yes:: Yup!

If I had to pick a thread that bugged me, it would be the Tag Fairy threads (begging for, thanking, whatever). But even those don't actually bug me, I'm just not interested in them.
