The post below mentioned a lot of great flip-flops, but I'm going in January and while I might live in Florida and do appreciate our mild winters, I'm not sure I'll be up for flip-flops. So for those of you who are tennis shoe wearers, I need your advice on a good shoe that will last the distance.

I think tennis shoes are really different with each individual. I have always been a Nike person. However, my husband and I jog every morning and I needed a new pair of shoes. I tried on a pair of Saucony (I had never heard of them) and absolutely love them. They are so comfy and fit my foot perfectly.

Whatever tennis shoe you get, break them in at home before going to Disney.

Another vote for Saucony - I love them! I've been told by many people that they are perfect for those with slightly wide feet or flat arches. Good luck!

New Balance, with out a doubt. I am a diabetic and have particularly sensitive feet due to peripheral neuropathy and New Balance have always been the most comfortable for me and I have tried scores of tennis shoes.

Another New Balance Vote here! Also a Diabetic and with wide feet. These are awesome and its all my podiatrist will let me wear! There are some great deals online for them.

I love my New Balance. Adidas wears out too quickly for me. Nike never cut it for me, but give me a pair of New Balance, and my feet are happy.

There is a store called 'the walking company' in my area. They have a machine that shows pressure points and possibly what orthopedic(?) inserts you can use in your tennies, or what new pair to purchase. Anyway, I purchased a pair of echo (the brand). It cost me about $115 but they are sooo much better than the ones I have buying. I have never been a 'name' shopper but I would buy another pair of echo in a second. So, there should be specialized shoe shops in your area - try them out and see what they have to say. For me, getting an arch support and a stiff arch bridge tennie allowed me to walk for 6+ hours without discomfort - my old ones only did about 30 minutes. There are other brands than echo - invest in a really good pair - even if you do new balance, know what your foot needs to find out what new balance style is best.

I prefer Nike Air Walk. My daughter and I wore these and our feet never got tired. Very comfortable!:thumbsup2  :woohoo:

I wear Nike, Reebok, New Balance, Adidas, whichever has a style that I like and is on sale when I want new ones. Of course I think I stick with the better quality shoes. DW swears by New Balance. Thats the only one she wears. The two of us would not wear anything other than sneakers at Disney with all the walking.

New Balance fan here! As sort of a rule of thumb with the NB is most of the models are 'numbered'...such as the 405, 515, etc. TYPICALLY the higher the number, the higher the price. And you definitely get what you paid for. I have some 405's that I scored majorly on sale at Kohl's but had been wearing my 717's and the 405's hurt my feet so much. I can totally tell that the 717's are much nicer/better quality shoes. I rotated between some 600-series and my 717's. Love them both. I'm on the prowl for a new pair for my February trip :)
