What stores are open Thanksgiving Day?

Was thinking about doing a quick shopping run on Thanksgiving morning. What major chain stores are open? I think K-mart is but not sure of any others.

K-mart is open and so is Meijer, if you have those in your area.

Last year I remember Big Lots having a special Thanksgiving DAY sale if you happen to have one in your area although I dont remember seeing an ad for it yet this year.

I think KMart and for sure Stop and Shop. I know WalMart is closed.

It really depends on the area. Different areas have different laws about what can and cannot be open on different holidays. I was 20-something years old before I knew that in some areas of the US you could go shopping on Thanksgiving.

You are absolutely correct. The OP and I live in same area, about two towns apart.

I know K- Mart is open in Buffalo, NY because my wife is working
10 am - 10 pm (saving for Christmas and our May Disney trip)
We had our turkey yesterday
