We have been to WDW many times, but never in Dec! We are sooo excited! We want to focus only on special things for the holidays! Any tips or suggestions on what not to miss??? We are planning on doing MVMCP once, may do twice?? We will only be there 6 days! Any help appreciated! Also interested in restaurant suggestions! THANKS!

I would plan to tour the resorts--at least the monorail resorts--to see some of the various decorations. Assuming they have it again this year, make sure you get to the Grand Floridian to see the giant tree and really big gingerbread house!

I also seem to recall that the Country Bear Jamboree has a Christmas show that time of year.

I bet you get a lot of things here about Christmastime!

Go see WL also. It is decorated nicely also. We always enjoy Epcot at Christmas. The storytellers in WS are very enjoyable and looking at the different country's decorations is nice. I really enjoy watching and listening to the light/music show on the arch they put up between WS and FW. I believe it is called Winter Lights or something similar.
If you go when MVMCP is on, attend it. In early Dec. it is the only way you can see the Christmas parade except for maybe on the weekends. We enjoy just walking around and looking at all the decorations. It is nice just getting to walk around and enjoy all the decorations if you have gone to WDW before.

candlelight processional at epcot is fabulous. we like to add on the dinner package for a lovely night out. there are 3 performances nightly. the narrator is usually a celebrity. wonderful!!

Don't miss the tree lighting ceremony in Epcot. See as many of the Holiday storytellers in Epcot that you can. If theyhave the carrolers in Camp Minnie-Mickey, try to see them. They're very enjoyable. And next year, the Osborne Lights should be back in Mgm-don't miss them. So many great things to see in December.

Don't miss the tree lighting ceremony at Magic Kingdom, either. All the lights in on Main Street will come on with the Tree. THe CM told us that if we came around 4:45 and hung out near the tree the kids might get picked to trun on the lights. We never got there in time to try it, but we did catch it one night. Kids are up on the balcony of the train station and there are lots of characters, too. Great photo op if your kids can snag it!

Also at MK, instead of Tinkerbell's flight, we saw them do Rupdolph's flight at the fireworks show, with Santa Goofy out on the ramparts of the castle.

We agree with the above poster: The Osbourne family lights are a don't miss, too.

Edited to add:

Restaurant Choices: We love Liberty Tree on an MVMCP night (have done it both times) with the pretty tree in the lobby and the characters with their Santa hats on.

I would also recommend the Candlelight Processional. It always puts me in the holiday spirit and is so uplifting. My family has make a trip to WDW and the CP an annual ritual. The resort decorations are beautiful. My favorites are the WL, GF, and Boardwalk. I also look forward to the return of the Osbourne Family Lights this year and its lighting ceremony has also been great in the past. It is most favorite time to visit. I am sure you will enjoy, but be careful as I said my family returns every year at this time because we enjoy it so much.

Another vote for the candlelight processional. Absolutely gorgeous and well done narrative of the Nativity Story. When we were there (years ago) it was narrated by James Earl Jones (his voice .. shivvvvver). Behind him were about 500 gospel singers from churches all over Florida singing Christmas Carols. It was one of the most memorable things we have ever done at WDW
