I'm trying to convince myself to get a fixed week but we just don't do Sun-Sun.

You can always cancel it and get your points to book at a different time.

If you ever have to sell RIV though this is a nice feature that the new owner wouldn't have to fight to get a room.

I am surprised more are not grabbing fixed weeks as the premium for the fixed week is less than the cost of being stuck with a PV studio.

I had also thought about acquiring one but for Spring Break but that was shot down as I was reminded there won't always be a spring break so might look into F&W time.

I bought mine for my employer's spring break. And yes, it is true that that won't matter after about ten years. But, early March is still a great time to be in Orlando, so that's good enough for me.

This is where I landed as well. We talk about this on a bunch of different threads but FW39 at Riviera (if there’s still availability) is a great option as most years you’ll be ahead using your FW based on the way the calendar falls.

I think the big thing for those who choose to buy resale RIVis that the sooner you book, the more options you have for dates and room sizes.

I go for the paradox weeks. Weeks where Walt Disney World is not crowded or at least in the bottom half of crowds and yet DVC is tight. Early December is number one as far as the discrepancy between crowds and DVC availability.
