What sorts of shoes to wear at the Water parks?

I can't imagine people walk around barefoot...are water shoes required? Is it a flip flop place or do you need something sturdier?

I always wear my little chinese slippers that I got in Manhattan for 2 bucks!!! But I imagine those wouldn't stay on well...but then if I lose them then I'm only out 2 bucks!!!

We have watershoes from Wal-mart that kind of resemble sneakers. but some people are barefooted

We wear the water shoes and you can wear them on most of the slides.
