What songs make you sad?

"Everyone I Love is Dead" - Type-O Negative...

R.I.P Peter Steele - you have died but your music will live on forever!!!!!

"Seems three years though maybe four
Someone drops dead whom I adore
You love someone, there will be grief
The kiss of death, lips of a thief
gdit

A dusty stack of photographs
At times I cried but mostly laughed
Commit the past into blue flame
Acrid smoke cowardly shame
gdit "

The saddest song for my is Wind Beneath my Wings by Bette Midler. I danced to this song with my DDad on my wedding day, he died of cancer exactly 9 months after I got married. :sad1: He was my hero and I miss him everyday.

I cant make you love me by Bonnie Rait
Being in an abusieve relationship brings it all to close

The song in my signature: Come To Jesus by Mindy Smith. I'm not really a religous person, but this song speaks to me in a way that comforts me. I always return to it when I'm going thru a particularly dark time. That's why it's in my signature now. And it doesn't sound like anything I heard in church, more bluesy.

I probably don't have the name right, it's older by The Judd's - Grampa tell me about the Good ol Days . . . take me back to yesterday . . . OMG something about that song makes cry, that song really gets to me.

"Mad World" by Gary Jules
"Nights in White Satin" by the Moody Blues

These are on my list for various reasons.

Live like you were dying: Tim McGraw was popular when my DF was diagnosed with cancer.
Jesus Walks-Kanye West-this song is song was playing when I was on the way to the hospital to sign papers to get my DF's body released.

totally unrelated to DF: Edmund Fitzgerald: Gordon Lightfoot

My DD12 just recently showed me a channel on tv that plays music without the videos, so I've been listening to the classic country music channel and DF used to play country music as a hobby so hearing those songs make me cry.

Fire and Rain is another song that gets me by the throat. It was playing when my brother called to tell me that my Mom had passed. I hung up the phone and James Taylor was singing "But I always thought I'd see you one more time again". I was just getting ready to go to the hospital to sit with her. It kills me that I didn't get there before she died that morning. But I Thank God that my brother worked there so he was with her when she passed.

Fire and Rain gets to me, but the song that gets me most is from one of Vince Gill's Christmas albums, "When the Season Comes Round Again".
