My DD3.5 is tall for her age at 42 inches (and about 40 lbs, a little under, I haven't weighed her in a couple months since my scale is broken and I've been putting off buying a new one :rotfl:). She's in a gap size 5, and I'm just curious what size other kids her age in. Obviously I can guess (or go by what the incorrect books say), but she's not in preschool so I don't always know how old children I see at a commonplace are.

Again, just curious.

My DS will be 3.5 in April and he is about 41" and around 33-35 lbs. I swear he hasn't gained any weight for 2 years!! He is one straight line...not a curve on his body and you can see almost every bone. We're having some food issues (control issues :rolleyes1 ) lately with him not wanting to eat what has been prepared. He wears mostly 3T clothes although pants are getting a bit short for him. But I can't go up to 4T for length because even the 3T's are falling off his behind! I can't wait for summer and shorts where it won't look like he's ready for the floods! :)

DS was less than 5th percentile: 2T-3T at 3.5 yrs old.

DD was greater than 95th percentile: 4T-5T at 3.5 yrs old. She's skinny but TALL!

As for me... I was wearing 3T in Kindergarten. <-- pipsqueak.

My DD is 3.5 and is in a size 4, for the most part. She's around 40" (I know she was exactly 40" when we went to WDW in January, because she just made it onto Big Thunder Mountain!) and she weighs about 35 lbs.

DS turned 3 in December so not quite 3.5, but he's in a size 4, although my next oldest DS has a lot of hand-me-down size 5's so a lot of times he's in a size 5.

DS was 3.5 last summer. He wore 3T shorts and usually 4T shirts...

Now he is 4.5 and he is riding that fine line where 4T is too small but 4-5 is too big, but most of his stuff is 4-5 and a bit baggy. He is 40 inches and 37 lbs.:thumbsup2

Both my DD's are in the 5th percentile. DD 4 wears a 4T slim and DD 6 wears a 5T slim. My DS just turned 3 on Feb 5th and is from Guatemala, he's in the 50th percentile and is just growing out of his 2T's and into his 3T's. He's short but stocky (too cute!!)

my daughter is 4 but is wearing the same size as when she was 3 1/2. She is 42 pounds, 42 inches and wears a size 4. Sometimes I will buy size 5 tops because she seems to have a long torso.

when my dd was 3.5yo, she wore about a 5T... she always wore about 2 sizes bigger than her "age". DS wore about 1 size bigger than his "age", so at 3.5yo, he was probably in 4T.

My daughter is just 4 and wears a size 6 or 7 now... about six months ago I would say she was a solid size 5 - she is a BIG girl though... :) TALL shes always been in the 95 - 115% height for her age... :) and about 75-85% weight...

My DD is only 39" and 33lb's. She is so little to me, but she is about the same size as the others in her daycare class. The one thing that is big on her is your feet. She wears a size 11  As for as cloths go, she only wears a 3T in shorts but a 4T in pants (for length) and shirts are normally 4/5 (XS) in the kids section.

Oh and my DD hasn't gained any weight in over 2 years. While I had her at the doctor the other day I asked and he said that it was pretty common and not to worry. She eats, but she runs around all the time and works it off. Her daddy is the same way.:worship:

My dd turned 4 in December. She can wear 4's but they are a too short (can we say capri's) - 5's definitely fit better. She is right around 40 lbs. and somewhere around 41-42".

My son is exactly the same way!!! My son is horrible when it comes trying to get him to eat too. :( The best pants to buy are one's that have the built in adjustable waist in them. That way you can get the length you need yet their pants won't be falling off them like crazy! :)

My DD is 3.5 and will be 4 in July. She is small for her age and is about 37" and 28.5 lbs. She wears mostly 3/3T tops and 2T/3 bottoms.

Both of my girls are about 15% for height and weight. They really have no hope as I am barely over 5' (DH is average at 5' 10.5"). There are girls that just turned 4 who are in my 3.5 year old's class, who are taller than my 5 year old!!

My DD is wearing a siz4 (4T) or size 5 (5T). She's over 40" and porbably about 40 pounds.

My DD will be 4 in May. She's petite (just like mom) at about 37 inches and 30 pounds. She's always been at about the 10th percentile - mostly wears 3T now.

When my DD was 3.5 she was petite and still is. She wore a size 3 or 4. My son is tall and big feet. When he was 3.5 he took a size 5 or 6. My DD is 9.5 now and weighs 57 lbs. and is 48 inches she wears a size 6x/7, my DS is 7.5 and wears a size 10 he is 53 inches and weighs 83 lbs. and a size 7 almost 8 ladies size shoe and he is not even 8?? So all different sizes???
