What size bed do your children have?

I had a twin bed until I finished college and moved out. I am a major toss-and-turner and never had the desire for anything bigger. My parents always had a king, so there was never a "smaller" hand-me down, anyway.
Now, DH and I share a king, and each "half" is roughly the size of a twin. We have problems sleeping in a smaller bed - for some reason, I anm fine keepign to my half in a king, but in a queen I tend to "starfish" (spread out my arms and legs) and encroach on his half. It is a very odd phenomenon.

ds7 has a full size bed, has since he was 4... he could get lost in it b/c he's so little:laughing: but he likes it!

I have a 9 year old in a double bed and a five year old in a twin bed. When the baby outgrows her crib we are going to convert it into a toddler bed until we decide to put her in the twin bed in her room.

I bought double/full size beds for both of my kids (7 and 5). I wanted them to have extra space for sleepovers (they love to have "slumber parties" with each other), plus I wanted to be able to climb in bed and read to them as well as sleep with them when they are ill. I opted not to buy them children's style furniture. Instead I bought them "heirloom quality" furniture from the adult section. I wanted to make sure that they wouldn't outgrow the style of the bed and I want them to be able to take them with them when they move out if they would like. If not, they will make lovely guest room furniture. :)

Two younger boys have bunk beds.

My daughter has a twin.

My 11 year old son has a twin extended----very hard to find sheets though

Well, the baby is in a crib.. lol The other two have twin beds, though we are getting ready to upgrade DD (almost 11) to a Full.

DD is still in her crib, but it turns into a double when she gets older.

Both my kids have full size beds. Comes in handy when their cousins stay over.

OP - I'm curious as to what your co-workers said!

DD8 - twin
DS6 - twin
DD2 - toddler bed/crib mattress

Growing up I had twin beds that were my mother's and uncle's. Presently I have a twin bed that was my grandmother's. I'm really hoping to keep it when I move out, BUT I really need a new mattress and I think getting a mattress that works with the antique frame might be a pain, in which case I'd probably get a good mattress with a cheap frame.

My kids are 12 and 15 and both have twin beds. With desks and dressers in their rooms there is no way we'd have room for bigger beds.

Our DD went from her crib originally to a double (family pass around:)), then she did a daybed for several years and now as an older teen she has a queen.
Our son did a single for several years and then he got his queen bed about two years ago.
Sure makes it nice if we have guests. We can run on of them downstairs to the sleeper sofa in the study and give their bed to the guests. lol

I have a five year old and an almost-fifteen year old and they both have full beds.

Both of my kids have fulls, although my younger DD is still in the crib.
