Last night we met some friends to see our friend’s band. I had a Portuguese steak bowl and a margarita. DH had chicken Mozambique bowl and Long Island iced tea.
Food and company was great!
I’m prepping a slow cooker beef stew for the crockpot today. I need to spend the day in the garden getting lots of chores done, so it will be nice to have dinner pretty much ready around 5pm.
We’ll put it over some wide egg noodles and enjoy a bowl with a glass of Pinot noir.
I raided the freezer & pantry & came out with ground turkey meat sauce & whole wheat spaghetti noodles. I'll make a caprese salad to go with it. DH will have garlic toast.
Me and my sister took our parents out for a big lunch. The men were golfing. Everyone had some kind of lobster. I had a lobster roll, mom and sis had lobster scampi and dad had lobster sauté.
Leftovers tonight from Friday night’s dinner.
It is a beautiful day! We decided to hit another shack. Today we tried Skippers in Niantic. Everything was really good. I had lobster bisque and a scallop roll. DH had New England clam chowder and a lobster roll. BFF had lobster bisque and whole belly clams. Her husband had calamari and fish and chips.
Sliced marinated London Broil w/ fries (air fryer) and crescent rolls. Quick and easy. Put the frozen London Broil in the homemade marinade yesterday and it marinated while defrosting in the fridge.
We ended up chopping up the burger and air frying a few burrito sized tortillas and making wraps by adding some shredded cheddar and other toppings. We had those with air fryer tater tots.
I was in the mood for breakfast so I had waffles. I had leftover beef and mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy for brunch, so I am all turned around. Tomorrow is grocery day, so who knows what I will find.
It was very good but I wasn't able to prepare it as quickly as they projected. I made three packets. I cooked them in the oven for 20 minutes instead of the suggested 15 and it still wasn't cooked so I had to put it back in for 5 more minutes. Bottom line, very tasty but just a bit of a pain.
