KING SIZE!!!!

From the time we were married(1980) we have had a QUEEN bed and really loved it. Plenty of room for us!!! As we started traveling alone (kids all grown up) every hotel we would stay at we would select a KING bed!!!! I just loved all the room the KING had....HEAVENLY!!!

Just moved to CA and we decided on a new bed and went with a KING!!!!!:thumbsup2

We sleep in a King. Started out in a double, then went to a waterbed king. When the movers put a hole in the mattress, we were overseas and the cost to replace didn't even come close to what the Army was going to give us, so we just went with a reg king. Best thing we ever did for sleeping in peace.

I have a twin. If I could afford a bigger bed, I would have one, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen anytime soon!

We have a king, and don't know how we ever lived without it! When we were first married, we had a queen. Then we had kids. And cats (who for their amazingly small stature, take up a huge amount of bed!) We quickly outgrew it. When it was time to buy a new one, and after realizing we always rented the motel/hotel rooms with a king bed, we splurged and sized up. Now, we each have our "own space", can turn over without bumping each other, and before they were teens, used to have plenty of space for the DDs to crawl in on a Saturday morning. If I reach my leg way, way over, I can still touch DH while I sleep. :lovestruc

Nothing less than a King will do for us. I love that we don't have to tough if we don't want too and we don't feel each other moving around.

DH and I share a full-sized bed. People seem to be amazed by this. :confused3 It's an antique bed that I've had since I was young and I love it too much to ever get a different bed.

Our whole house is furnished in "mid century modern" antiques. They did not make king size beds in 1945. So what we've done is take two twin beds made then, put one of those "connectors" on them and connect them side-by-side with king size bedding. Other than the fact that each side has its own headboard and footboard it looks like it's always been a king size bed.

DH and I share a king- I like to cuddle a bit, but when I am ready to sleep, i need my space!

California King, which is 4" longer and 4" narrower than a king. We need the length because DH is 6'6". 6'5" DS has his own queen. So does DD15.

Queen bed. I freeze at night and DH is like a furnace. When we go on vacation and get the king size bed, I'm curled up into his back and there's this whole area of the bed that isn't used. Queen size is perfect for us.

We have a queen. I wish we had more space, b/c I (along w/ our two cats) take up a lot of room and annoy DH. :rolleyes1

We have two twins put together. Sometime we will buy a proper king but for now it's fine. Honestly sometimes it's still too small! DH is a big guy ... :-) then when the cat joins in. I like my space and DH is a snorer, the farther away he can be the better!

My cats and husband push me around too much so we have a king. I get kicked often even with one. No way I could do a full sized. Queens are "painful" enough for me ;)

DH and I have a queen, no room in our older house for a king, but I would be lost in it, I need to sleep close to DH, but a full isn't big enough. We started out in my antique full sized canopy bed, but moved up for a little more room. All the other beds in the house are antique and full sized.

BTW, if anyone is looking for a really nice bed at a reasonable price, look at IKEA, we got a beautiful steele queen sized bed from them for less $149. That was the frame and only, because we already had mattresses. They had frames for as little as $99.

Full *SIGH* its too small for two cats, their stuffies, and me. Whats a twin plus a full?

Wow- I would put that antique bed in the guest room and buy a big one LOL- I can't even stand when my daughter wants me to sleep with her once in awhile in her full size bed, not enough space between us for me- I don't like anyone touching me when I sleep or anyone body heat near me when I am sleeping - I need my personal space!

:lmao: We're not that big into personal space, I guess. I'm always cold so it's nice to have someone generating some heat. My bed does have an extremely comfortable new pillowtop mattress. But we both really like the bed--and it's tall enough that my golden retriever sleeps UNDER it. She'd be traumatized if I got a bed that was lower to the ground. DD is 18 so doesn't get into bed with us so it's just the two of us.

I had one of those when I lived in Germany. I don't think the connector was very good, though (this was the 1980's). It was like sleeping in twin beds--I hated it.

We're perfectly content with our full sized bed. It's always kind of weird to have a big bed in a hotel.
