What side of the ship?

A few days back, someone asked what side of the ship they should get their stateroom on. I remember some people said to pick one side because the other gets too hot during the day, and someone said that a certain side enables you to see the shore when you are docking. I have gone back, and gone back, and gone back through these posts, and I can't find the thread. Can someone either direct me to the thread, or tell me which side is which?
Thanks!

From what I have gathered from the boards from the last few months is that the Starboard side is the side with the good view when docking and not quite as hot in the afternoon sun. Hope this helps.

If you are facing forward on the ship, starboard is to your right, right?

That's correct :) We're booked in a cabin on the port side, but I know we'll enjoy it, no matter what :)

Correct. I remember it by port has 4 letters and left has 4 letters.

We like starboard much better b/c of the views....and, based on stateroom availability, so do many folks....
