to the presentation? I'm going to the presentation on Tuesday at NC State. How do people dress for these? Its going to be about 70 degrees and rainy.

For males, I would recommend nice pants and a polo shirt. For females, a nice shirt and nice pants. You want to look presentable for the presentation. Good luck!!

Heck, I'd wear a suit if you've got one. Always good to look good and stand out.

Yes the campus presentation, possibly followed by an interview in person

I just got back from my campus presentation. I guess the suit paid off, as the recruiter put in the "telephone interview notes" that i came dressed professionally, and prepared. It seems like most everyone else decided street clothes were dressy enough. I felt out of place, but apparently the disney folks liked it. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Glad to hear it went well.:)

Yes! That's awesome!

Oh, plz!

To the presentation I went with the same clothes I always wear.
I had a bloody/violent t-shirt from a horror film, jeans and converse....and I got accepted!!!!

The clothing can make a difference (not saying it always does). Looking nice shows you are serious about the CP.

No, that's not what I'm saying.

What I am saying is that dressing up is a nice thing to do.

Good luck! Keep us posted on how it goes. I always say it is better to be overdressed! How many people were at your presentation. Were most of them serious about getting in, or were they just coming to check it out.

Casual wear, as you've experienced, is probably acceptable in most cases.

...but there's something to be said for dressing for success. Holding one's self in professional manner, including attire, is certainly beneficial (particularly so if the presentation venue will also be conducting interviews that same day). It shows seriousness and commitment, and indicates to them that you can be trusted to hold yourself to the standards of Disney Look. It doesn't hurt your credibility or level of seriousness if you don't show up dressed-up, but then again, it probably doesn't help either.

I think a full suit is a little overkill, but a nice button down or polo tucked in with appropriate slacks is all it takes for gents. Conservatism is key.

About 20 showed up. I cant comment on each persons commitment, but it seemed some where more interested then others.

Thats great, but theres no reason for me not to better my odds by looking as professional as possible. I would much rather have been wearing that, but CP is only the first step in what i hope to be a long career with Disney, so why not...

One last thing. I chose to wear a suit over a polo because I personally have a lot of very large tattoos that i have to hide. not that theyre bad, but disney doesnt like them.

I was the ONLY person dressed up at my Presentation, and man did that feel awkward. Me in my suit and everybody else in their jeans. But I didn't know if I would have the possibility of a personal interview afterwards, so looking my best was my top priority. This is the beginning of my Disney dream and I wanted it to get off on the right foot. I felt much better for being dressed up because I KNEW I stood out in the crowd, but in a good way.

I agree! Nicely put.
