to the presentation? I'm going to the presentation on Tuesday at NC State. How do people dress for these? Its going to be about 70 degrees and rainy.
I just got back from my campus presentation. I guess the suit paid off, as the recruiter put in the "telephone interview notes" that i came dressed professionally, and prepared. It seems like most everyone else decided street clothes were dressy enough. I felt out of place, but apparently the disney folks liked it. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

The clothing can make a difference (not saying it always does). Looking nice shows you are serious about the CP.
Oh, plz!![]()
To the presentation I went with the same clothes I always wear.
I had a bloody/violent t-shirt from a horror film, jeans and converse....and I got accepted!!!!
Good luck! Keep us posted on how it goes. I always say it is better to be overdressed! How many people were at your presentation. Were most of them serious about getting in, or were they just coming to check it out.

I was the ONLY person dressed up at my Presentation, and man did that feel awkward. Me in my suit and everybody else in their jeans. But I didn't know if I would have the possibility of a personal interview afterwards, so looking my best was my top priority. This is the beginning of my Disney dream and I wanted it to get off on the right foot. I felt much better for being dressed up because I KNEW I stood out in the crowd, but in a good way.
Casual wear, as you've experienced, is probably acceptable in most cases.
...but there's something to be said for dressing for success. Holding one's self in professional manner, including attire, is certainly beneficial (particularly so if the presentation venue will also be conducting interviews that same day). It shows seriousness and commitment, and indicates to them that you can be trusted to hold yourself to the standards of Disney Look. It doesn't hurt your credibility or level of seriousness if you don't show up dressed-up, but then again, it probably doesn't help either.
I think a full suit is a little overkill, but a nice button down or polo tucked in with appropriate slacks is all it takes for gents. Conservatism is key.
