What Should I Request for a Copper Creek room?

I'm doing a split stay in a few weeks. Second half is in Copper Creek, studio shower stall room.
Is there an area I should request?
At My Disney Experience, the only choices are upper floor, near transportation (not a concern), and near lobby. Second choice is just upper floor and near transportation. I chose "near lobby."
Thank you. (And yes, I know, there is no guarantee, debate over whether the choices apply to DVC, etc.)

If you booked with DVC points, if I'm not mistaken, the requests on MDE mean nothing. You will need to place a request with MS. We stayed in one of those rooms last year. We had a view of Boulder Ridge Cove. I think we were on the 4th floor maybe about halfway down. I honestly can't remember the requests I put in, but I loved that location.

Thanks. Yep, that jogged my memory--general consensus is that MDE request means nothing and gets overwritten by a request to MS.

I have to disagree with the usual advice to ask for "close to the elevator". I have stayed at Copper Creek twice. And the room views are GREAT near the end of the hall. One room was even the last one, next to a GV. Upper floor. We could see fireworks and the pool/water view was wonderful. We used the very closeby stairs to dash down to the pool for drink refills. (we said we were working off all the Disney snacks, lol. Going down easy, up was a workout).

One room was facing the CC main pool, the other on the other side of the hall, facing the BR pool, I preferred the CC pool side but both very nice. One room was a 2BR, one a 1BR. I believe many studios on the ground floor, where views are less of an issue I suppose.

I requested high floor and wished that I didn't. Got the top floor, but if you look at pictures of the resort the top floor balconies are within little dormers in the roof itself which made the room feel pretty dark.

We ask for a room on 4th or 5th floor and a high room number as we want to be near the end as they have better views and a quick exit to the boats, Geyser point and the pools. We don't want to be in a dormered balcony room on 6 and 7th floors as you don't have a view when sitting down.

There are also dormered balcony rooms on the 6th floor? I thought they were just on the 7th.

I'd like to know as well. I thought the dormer balcony rooms were just the 7th floor but if it is the 6th floor as well I would like to know. Anyone? Thanks!

My understanding is yes 6 and 7 have the dormer balconies. However 6th floor does have excellent views of the fireworks from MK if you request higher odd number room (closer to Bay Lake)

I just can't imagine this. I thought the dormered balconies came out of the roof. How can the 6th floor have them? Isn't there just one floor that comes out of the roof?

Perhaps I am mistaken. I'm looking at Touring Plans to verify

Some of the 6th floor (long wings) have dormers and in the main building the 6th floor does not it is the 7th. This is because the two sections of the building have different heights. Anything higher than 6120 will have a dormer for sure (less than that I believe will not). All the 7th floor would be more obstructed.

Thanks for clarifying. I learn something everyday.

We were just in a 6th floor room (6133) and had the dormer. The lanai is like sitting in a box. I don't want to say I hated it, and it was only for two nights, but I wouldn't want to stay there again. If we owned at CC I would be complaining about the points. Those rooms should get some points shaved off for the lack of use of the lanai.

Also, I asked MS for the 4th or 5th floor, but our request record showed "upper floor."

I had room 3112. I had requested low floor, near lobby, and I got that request. However, the view was not great. That didn't really bother me for 2 reasons: 1. I had just come from a split stay at Kidani, and you can't beat the view from a savanna view room, and 2. the weather was cold and cloudy my entire stay, so not conducive to sitting outside anyway.

Is "near lobby" near the main lobby or the CC lobby,
Copper Creek rooms are in a wing of the Wilderness Lodge. There is no "CC lobby." "Near lobby" for CCV means near the Wilderness Lodge lobby.
Next door is what used to be The Villas at the Wilderness Lodge, and is now Boulder Ridge Villas. There is a small lobby there, but no check in facility.

I'm late to the party, but I was wondering as time is passing what would you request for a 2 bedrooms at CCV, I'm going on September 2020!
Also, what is MS?

Thanks. Yep, that jogged my memory--general consensus is that MDE request means nothing and gets overwritten by a request to MS.

I want to put the room request at the best place ! (I'm renting points if it changes anything?)
Thank you
