Heelys! You can cover twice the distance in half of the time!

Who's up for another debate about the legality of heelys in the park? Healy Dad do a search, you've just popped open a major can of worms.

Anyhoo :welcome: :disrocks:

I take 2 pair of sneakers, New Balance and another pair. I switch back & forth. I also take mole skin just to be on the safe side. I'd rather be safe than sorry. What is Body Glide? Where can it be found?

I bought a pair of Teva sandals for myself (and my dh) in anticipation of our week-long DW trip. I ended up wearing my New Balance tennis shoes every day! I have a torn meniscus in my knee and I was so comfortable in my tennis shoes that I didn't want to mess with a good thing :) I was worried about them getting wet on the water rides but I was fine. Dh preferred to wear his New balance tennis shoes too!

I wear my Reebok running shoes. Next trip, I'm going to buy some Tevas and switch them with the Reeboks. :cool1:

I found Body Glide at REI (you can even get it at REI.com if you don't have a store near you)... And just like the name says..it helps the "body glide"...ie it help stop friction that could cause blisters or chaffing. You can put it anywhere...feet, thighs, under arms....anyplace that you may rub and cause irritation. I wasn't to sure about it at first..but after trying it last year I think it helped.

As for shoes...I wore my Keen shoes and/or my Keen flip flops. I think what ever shoes you pick...it's a good idea to bring at least two diffrent types to switch things up.

In july, I wore my Tevas most of the time. dh wore his nike air tennis shoes, one ds wore his tevas, and the other ds wore his nike tennis shoes. none of us had any problems!

I have arthritis which makes my feet lumpy and sore, and the medicines make me susceptible to infections. We wear Tevas where we will get wet and sneakers otherwise. I always carry a little first aid kit with moleskin in it, and just put it right on whatever spot is getting sore, it will usually stay on for days. I also have found it useful to specifically check the kids' feet. Usually they won't tell you there's anything wrong until its a full-blown blister.

I actually researched my walking shoes and ended up with a pair of Nike Airwalk shoes, although New Balance is supposed to be good, as well. I have been very happy with them, they are very light but supportive. I also just noticed they are getting worn out!

p.s. Not all Tevas are the same. My DH wears the less expensive non-contoured type because of his flat feet, the rest of us all wear the more expensive models because they are more supportive.

Well...I usually wear New Balance sneakers, and this time was no exception...up until the last day, when I threw my Crocs on because I didn't want to mess with tying and untying at the airport. OH MY GOSH!!! They were sooooo comfy, all day long at the MK. How could I have been so blind?

I always wear flip flops and nothing else - I take 3 or 4 different pairs. I wear my very comfortable sneakers on the airplane so I have them if I ever need them, but I never have except to keep my feet warm on the plane.
:goodvibes

I'm taking 2 pairs of shoes - my Skechers backless tennies (mostly because I'll need warm shoes for the airport and plane from Pittsburgh in December) and a pair of flip-flops. If the weather is decently warm, I'll wear the flip-flops - if not, I'll wear the Skechers.
