What shoes with Capri's?

My heals can't take wearing sandals all summer-they crack, split, HURT if I wear open shoes for any time. What other type of shoes would look good with capris for work? I am not a shoe person so this always stumps me!

The only other thing I could think of would be an open backed loafer.

Have you tried using a foot oil on your heels before putting your sandals on? My heels crack too if I don't oil them almost daily--year round. Lotion doesn't cut it, I need an oil. Good luck.

Depending on the style of your capris, Ked-style tennis shoes with low/no socks would be cute.

Esperdrilles of any type would look cute too. You can get some peep toe ones that I have seen out that look adorable with capris.

Jurlique body oil. But any body or foot oil would work.

I was just at DSW last night where I saw some really cute low cut slip on sneakers. But I have to make one plea. If you buy shoes similar to those, please, please, PLEASE do not commit the same fashion faux paus that my mother routinely commits. Do not wear tennis shoes WITH SOCKS while wearing capris.

You can wear tennis shoes and socks with jeans, right?

And with shorts?

So why not capris?

I've never been all that concerned with what other people think about what I'm wearing, I go for comfort and my New Balance 842's are my most comfortable shoes, and if I'm going to be walking a lot, I'll wear them with my capris, AND socks as well as I can't stand wearing tennis shoes and no socks, ick!!

I'm certainly no capri expert, since I only own own one pair, but when I see someone wearing tennis shoes, socks and capris, it looks to me like they bought their pants too short, not that they're wearing capris.

I like Capris with Ked type shoes. Although I think they look fine with anklet type socks.

What about those of us who can only wear sneakers? I will not wear them with out socks either. I've broken both ankles more than once so I need support and that's all I can comfortably wear. So I guess I'll be looking tacky as always.

I can only wear sandals for short periods of time without my feet hurting. I need the support of my tennis shoes.

I soooo agree with this! You can wear footies with your keds, but IMO socks, keds fdon't mix and the socks, keds and capris combo TOTALLY don't mix.

I work in downtown Chicago, and when you see the sneakers, socks, capri mix...no doubt they are holding up a map, looking cluelessly around and fumbling in their fanny pack.

I kinda don't mind it, because I'm the person that will gladly help you with your directions - so that outfit just gives me a "heads up".
