What scent are you burning?

Lauri lit a candle that we bought at the Yankee Candle outlet yesterday and daaannggg it smells good!

It is one of their swirl candles - a swirled mix of Buttercream and Chocolate Chip Cookies.

That was the first time we have ever been there. Ho-le-cow. That thing is huge and the inside of it reminds me of the Mexico Pavillion in EPCOT. You really feel like you are outside when you are really inside.

And you got to love any place that has a wide assortment of fudge just waiting for you to buy it. :teeth:

I think it has risen to Reilly's top 5 places to shop. The employees all Ooohhed and Ahhhed over him and his little apricot fuzzy head grew to the size of a watermelon. He was "To hot for his leash" :rotfl:

Hey, has anyone burned the Yankee Candle "Buttermilk Pancake" scent? If so, how do you like it? They had it in the outlet in the "rare finds" section of the candle emporium, but they only had it in the 22oz size and we were already buying enough stuff. :teeth: They had a bunch of cool scents in there but very limited as to what format you could get it in. One of the sales associates said they were frangrances they marketed in Europe - not sure if that is true or not.

the caramel pecan tea light you sent me! and i love love love it, it's definitely one of my new favorites!

Oooo! We just had our 1st YC store open in town today and I had to go check it out. :goodvibes I bought all kinds of new tarts. Right now I have Sweet Melon tart in the warmer. It smells so good. I bought about 15 different tarts.

Can't wait to go back again!! :thumbsup2

I have to tell you guys what my husband said last night.

I was burning a pumpkin pie tart (Yankee Candle). My husband gets out of the shower and the following conversation goes down. Feel free to laugh at my hubby:

Scott: Mmmmmm. You're burning a tart aren't you.

Me: Yup. I've never burned this one before. Guess what it is.

Scott: *sniffs* Hmmm. It smells really good, like a Christmas tree.

Me: :rotfl:It's pumpkin pie, honey.

Scott: *sniff* Smells like a Christmas tree to me.

I just for the biggest kick out of that. Later he said he thought he smelled some cinnamon or nutmeg.

Holy cow, I heard this post before I saw it! :rotfl:

Yep, Buttermilk Pancakes. It smelled soooooo good with just a hint of maple in it.

They only had about 10 jars left. Now I'm going to regret not buying one since the sales associate said they have no control over what they get, how many they get or what size/form they get these "rare" fragrances in.

LOve Buttermilk Pancake!!
It was discontinued a couple of years ago. I bought all the tarts I could fine...but must say, tarts don't last well. They don't smell as good as they used to.
I did finish up my big jar this winter....I was hoarding it. I will miss it. Maybe it will be one of the scents they will bring back.

Also, Patsy.....blueberry MUFFIN is another of the scents they discontinued a year or more ago. And of course another of my favorites  I love the baking scents and they seem to get rid of them too often.

Anyway, I have Ocean Water jar burning downstairs in the family room and in the computer room a Fresh Peach :)

I have a Village Candle Pineapple Sorbet burning.

Oh geez. Don't get Lauri started on her Blueberry Muffin candle addiction.

She fell in love with that scent when it was just a Hallmark Exclusive scent and bought a bunch of them. Then they up and discontinue it and I have to hear about it every time we go into a Yankee store..lol

To make matters worse, the candle she replaced Blueberry Muffin with as her favorite was Cranberry Chutney - apparently they have gone and made that a seasonal scent now and it will only be out for the holiday seasons. One jar left and then I'll hear about that one too I guess..lol

LOL...yes, Hallmark is where I discovered the Blueberry Muffin.
I love Cranberry Chutney too :teeth: She has good taste.
Being seasonal means we can buy discounted after Chrsitmas and stock up (and her discount should make it really good ::yes:: )

I have Juicy Grapefruit in the warmer right now. It smells wonderful.

This has been such a wonderful week. First a YC store finally opened in our town and DH was nice enough to take me to check it out (and buy) and today I received my YC exchange gift from NiteOwl71.

:cool1: :cool1:

Oh yeah... no good comes of a brand spankin' new display of Yankee Candles when you have a 50% off discount. She doesn't need to wait for the sale.

Although, not last fall but the year before, they had their Harvest and Spiced Pumpkin candles marked down 75% off and then gave the employees a special discount day of 50% off of sale prices. Do you have any idea how many large jars she was able to carry out in one trip? :rotfl2: Although you can't beat $3.75 for a large jar!

I loved my cranberry chutney  I got the big one for Christmas and it only made it to New Years!

I am working on Sweet Strawberry now...

I have so many now!! I can't imagine what I would have done in that circumstance
I think my basement would be YC distribution center :rotfl:
