What sandals would you bring to the parks?

Another vote for the crocs cleo. They are great! I'm also bring my mary janes. Not packing my tennies this year - didn't wear them at all last year, just the cleos.

i just got a pair of teva pierpoint bay sandals in cocoa online after reading some great reviews... anyone familiar with the product? :) i'd love a DISer's perspective!

I think that's probably a good idea, but maybe only for half of the year. DH is a teacher, so we only go in the summer. I would pass out after ten minutes if I had sneakers on - I just get too hot too quick. It's sandals ALL THE WAY for me!

That is my worry now. I spent $45 on those Sketchers slip-on sneakers; wanted something that would still look ok with capris or shorts that I wouldn't have to wear socks with, but the other day when I was wearing them out side in 80 deg weather I felt my feet starting to get kind of sweaty. I may bring two pairs of shoes; the sketchers & a pair of good sandals. I will definately need to sandals the day we go to AK since everything is pretty much outside and is considered to be the hottest one. It's hard to decide on what to buy when all of you like different things ;)

I can't wear anything but tennis shoes. I tried Crocs last year and my feet were killing me! I had to buy some white Mickey shoes to wear the rest of the trip.

In the past, I've always brought a few pairs of flip flops from Old Navy. They come in about a million different colors and are only $2.50 a pair. They have a good sole on them, to, so wearing them for an hour or two in the parks for water rides doesn't wear your feet out. I wouldn't suggest wearing them all day, though. I made this rookie mistake for my first trip and had prickely-feelings in my feet for almost the entire trip!

But for water rides or running around hotels, pools, or water parks, they'e the best. (for Airport travel too, and driving!)

I love the old navy flip flops. I also have a pair of Tommy Hilfiger flip flops that I love. I like to keep cool while walking in the parks. Tennis shoes or sandals always seem too hot for me.

I'm wearing my Tevas - love them. They're not the cheapest but they have great support, the sole is great & they last forever. I wa in DSW yesterday & they had a few styles there at pretty reasonable prices. :goodvibes

I have a tendency to carry alot of shoes to WDW, but usually wind up in my Teva Mush flip flops. Reef and Montrail Molokini flip flops are also comfortable down there. No way can I wear tennis shoes all day in WDW.

our vote is for crocs!
DH only wears them for water rides (carries them in his backpack when going to MK and AK--the other 2 parks do not have water rides!) and to the water parks/pool---he is a sock-and-shoes type of guy. The kids and I have worn them from park open to close with no socks and no problems. I just have everyone wear them a dozen times before we go so that the foot bed has conformed to their foot.

I always wear/bring my black reef flip flops I bought at CBR 2 years ago. they are so comfortable and dont hurt my feet

When we were at WDW last Spet., it was sooo hot! When I tried to wear my New Balance tennis shoes...with good socks.....my feet were tired, sore and sweaty. I changed to my Mickey Crocs for the rest of the week, and I was the only one in our party of 4, that did not get a single blister. This year I will still take my sneakers.....but also my Mickey Crocs, my Alice Crocs and I just ordered a new pair of Cleo Crocs, online. I should rec. my shipment in a couple of days, so I'll let ya know how the Cleos work out.

I have a ton of the OLD NAVY flip flops -- but, I definitely would not recommend them for an all day outing in the parks... especially if you are overweight (like me! :rotfl: ). They are great for short distances, but I find if I'm wearing them and on my feet a lot I get sciatica (spelled wrong probably) -- that shooting pain from your butt to your leg... They definitely aren't the best for support.

Has anyone tried the adidas ayuna flip flops? I tried them on at the store and although they are not the cutest thing, they have this fitFOAM and feel like the most comfortable thing ever.

I'm debating getting these, too - they are very comfortable, but like you said, the color choices aren't all that great...... I've read a few reviews on here that people really like them so I'll probably give them a try.

I take my Mary-Jane crocs for by the pool, and in the room. In the parks I wear my Birkenstocks!!!

I will let you know what I think. I found them on sale and showed my DBF and he found some that are slip on for him and he wants them too! They are not overly expensive and I have a feeling we will be wearing them more than the skechers athletic shoes we both bought.

They are called Trovao thong. They come in a light blue with navy or a black with pink and run about $30.00. They feel like you are stepping on a cloud.

I'll be wearing my Tevas. After reading a post on how good they were for the parks, I went out and bought some. I am currently breaking them in for my trip in May. They feel great so far. Bring on the parks! 18 days....:woohoo:
