What ride terrifies you?

I use to be terrified of TOT. I had ridden it once a couple of years ago (I don't like elevators, creepy things, or drops so this ride was not for me) and was so horrified. This year my friend convinced me to ride it (easy for her she had never ridden it she didn't know what it was like) and believe it or not I liked it. I will probally always get butterflies before I ride it it's just creepy but I will deffinitely ride it again. It also seemed like they changed it, one of your drops was only like 3 ft. and the opening of the doors is a lot shorter.

I'd have to say Dinousaur. Two years ago was the first time I opened my eyes for the part where they take your picture. I absolutly love the ride, but it scares me! I still haven't seen the very last dinosaur at the end.

There are MANY DIFFERENT drop-sequences with "Version 4" of ToT.

Each time a car goes up, the computer will choose (at "random") a different "set" of drops and other effects presented in the shaft.

So don't think that one of the drops is "only like 3 feet" every time you ride it.

There are many different combos... enough to keep most repeat riders "off-guard"... works for ME. :thumbsup2

"Tower of Terror 4, never the same fright twice!"

Alien Encounter and Dinosaur. I LOVED the original Alien Encounter, the new Stitch version is so lame. I live for the fear though, that is what makes it fun to me. In all of our Dinosaur pics I am the ONLY one screaming. Even DD5 didn't look phased. We couldn't get DD (now 14) to ride it and when she finally did, she hid her face in my mom's armpit for the entire ride. She also left a nasty bruise on my mom's arm from squeezing it so hard. oops.

I won't go on Dinosaur again. Uh-uh. Nope. Don't even ask.

Hey, Missus Toad...

Wanna go on Dinosaur with us?

:goodvibes

I 'm not sure if I want to ride something that may cause instant death. How are you supposed to know if you have an undiagnosed heart condition? Although, eventually you're gonna die, and Mission Space seems like a pretty quick and painless way to go.

If you don't die, there is a really good chance you'll be sick all day.

So I think I'll go on the mild version.

BTW I LOVE thrill rides, but I really don't find instant death or persistent motion sickness thrilling.

To my knowledge, the only Disney rides to have caused "instant death" in the last few years were Big Thunder Mountain and one of the Ships that tours around Tom Sawyer's Island.

The theming in ToT is so great! The build-up always terrifies me. Just looking up at the building is enough to make me chicken out, but once I get up the courage, the ride itself is sooo fun! The anticipation/ adrenaline combo is such a rush!

Dinosaur sends my DGF over the edge. She covers her ears, closes her eyes, & squeezes my hand nearly to death. I love to tease her about that one. :rotfl:

The Tower of Terror definetly terrifies me! But i keep going on it, I really don't know why :confused3 I know what is going to happen, I know I will be scared to death and scream myself silly but I go on it every time I go to MGM. I have had a recurring dream that I am in an elevator alone and it drops suddenly and i am pinned against the ceiling as it falls, its the same feeling I get when I go on TOT, I just must be a glutton for punishment!

I am a huge chicken, and won't ride anything that causes nauseausness. Pirates gets hairy for me!

I have to agree with those that said Dinosaur....that is one scary ride! :scared1:

The other ride I'm scared of is (I'm ashamed to say) Space Mountain. And I'm a roller coaster freak....LOVE 'EM! The taller the better. But for some reason I'm always afraid of something hitting me in the head on that coaster! Silly, because I'm not the least bit afraid of RNRC at MGM. :confused3

I have a question for all the people that say Mission:Space scares them. Does it scare you or are you just wary of riding something that will make you sick?

The latter for most. It's not worth having to go lie down for a day because you're completely disoriented.

I think the seat backs are a lot higher on RnR than they are on sm. That sort of contributes to a feeling of safety.

Can someone talk a little more about the Dinosaur ride. I'm kind of a chicken but I like to try everything at least once. Is there something comparable to it at DL that I can use as comparison? It seems interesting but I don't know too much about the ride except that it's in the dark mostly and there are dinosaurs.

I haven't been to DL in a million years, so I'm not sure what to compare it to there. It's kind of like Jurassic Park at IoA, but not a water ride. Dinosaur is very jerky (think simulator rides like Star Tours) and loud (definately sensory overload) and features some pretty convincing animatronic dinosaurs. Overall very cool and great Disney attention to detail as always.

Dinosaur for me! I can not seem to keep my eyes open past the triceratops. I love Indy at DL and its the same ride, must just be those dinos and it is darker in there.
