What ride terrifies you?

I will not go on Mission Space. DH went on it a few weeks ago, all alone, twice and loved it. He came off and said that I would definately hate it! No thank you!

I have not done TOT, but that is ok. Maybe in a few years when I am all grown up (I am 32)! :thumbsup2

first time I rode M:S, I was so dizzy I could barely stand. My wife rode it with my son (parent swap) and by the time she came out I was about 80% again. A little while later, all better. My son and I rode it 9 times on that trip, and I only got dizzy one more time. (it was my fault, they say not to look around, but I had to be a wiseguy...)

I've probably been on it 20 times since it opened, and it's something I ride to make my son happy (wife won't go on it again) but I don't really enjoy it that much.

The scariest "ride" at WDW is by far SUMMIT PLUMMET in Blizard Beach. When you come over the edge, you lose contact with the slide for what feels like 10 seconds and freefall until the slide comes back under you. Knowing that your journey ends with a 55MPH wedgie doesn't really help either...

Soarin  ! It's not the ride but the ride vehicle. I can't handle my legs dangling with nothing under my feet and the seat itself with just it's little seatbelt just makes me feel really unsafe. I have issues! I went into a proper panic as soon as my safety belt locked, and have never been able to ride it :sad2: .

Probably never will. However, I love Tower of Terror :goodvibes . Which makes me very strange, I'm sure!

Mission Space, hands down. Never have tried it and never will. Haunted Mansion... no thank you, too creepy for me. Dinosaur... don't like things jumping out at me, thanks. And lastly, Rock 'n Roller Coaster; I'm terrified of going upside down (had a bad experience on one coaster in SC that did and have been scared ever since). Oh, and it's not a ride, but It's Tough To Be A Bug. Saw it in 2001 and had a full scale panic attack that lasted around 10 minutes (the worst part) and lingered on for almost an hour. :sad2:

I was completely terrified of Tower of Terror (yuck yuck), but I finally worked up the nerve to go on it in March. Surprise, surprise, I laughed through the whole thing! :lmao: Now I'm mad at myself for wasting all those potential rides over the years. It was great, and I can't wait to ride it again in 2008. :teeth:

Mission Space: I rode it and it made me feel sick for hours.

Tower of Terror: I'm too scared to ride it. :scared1:

The only ride that terrifies us at Disney is the ride home, because we hate to leave!!!

Nothing really terrifies me. But I avoid ToT (I'm going to try to ride it this trip) because it makes me sick.

No doubt!! That's the ONLY ride that I won't try again. It is pretty terrifying, but it was also painful. You're humming down that thing so fast that the water rushing against the back of your body feels like millions of little daggers poking you. That's how it felt for me anyway!

They need to create a "smilie" for a power wedgie...:scared1:

During our vacation last year, I sat out the first Mission:Space ride and waited to see what my husband and son (6) had to say. Both swore it was fine, but wouldn't you know it -- I nearly passed out when that thing started spinning! I'm too chicken to ever give it another try.

But I love drops and loops and other twisty motions... it's just that spinning that gets to me! :guilty:

Tower of Terror no doubt about that. But I have to go on it because DH is afraid to fly...so the deal is...he flies (to MCO) I ride...no exceptions! Just thinking of it makes my palms sweat! He does give me a little leeway though...we only have to go on it once during our trip!! :teeth:

OK, so I would say there could be something to this "terrifying" thing after all. I have no problems going on any rollercoaster, but am afraid of boat rides. For instance, the feeling right before takeoff on RnR is the same feeling I get when about to drop on PoTC (no joking!) I think it is all what you are used to.

I for one am aprehensive about ToT, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain (not knowing what it is, not necesarily terrified), and even the new Expedition Everest (although I hear it's tame...)

Anybody want to calm my fears about any of those? These are the only ones I haven't rode yet!!!

Another vote for Mission Space. Went on it last October - almost used the "chicken exit" but made myself go on it. I wasn't "terrified" but really hated the sensations the ride created. I really, really disliked it and will never go again.

(BTW, I'm a huge coaster fan and love RnR, ToT, Space Mountain - you name it, I like it! But hated MS!)

For me it's the Astro Orbiter. Scared me silly. It's very high, and the way it spins made me feel like I was going to fall out. Something that goes about as fast as the Dumbo ride shouldn't be that scary, but I'll never do it again.

Same here. I will never do AO again unless I'm drunk - and that's hard to do at MK. ;)

I'd have to say that space mountain is probably the worst ride for me... took me years towork up the nerve to ride it then stood in line in front of a woman who spent the 20 minutes trying to convince her 8 year old daughter that she was gonna love the ride.. made me an absolute wreck just listening to her!!! :scared:
I was in the front car and boy I was praying the whole ride!!!
Yikes will never do that again!
I will never even try tower of terror as I am claustrophobic and cant even handle elevators that dont drop!!!
:rotfl2:

The ride that terrifies me most is the bus ride back to my resort right after a park has just closed!

I'd have to say Mission Space for me and I haven't even been on it. My DH has been on it more times than I can count and has told me enough about it for me to know I don't want to even think about going on it. First of all it's just a little too close quarters for me.

Mission space for me, legs were like spagetti for half hour after.
