What restaurant(s) do you have no desire to try & why?

This is a hard one, because we have been several times, and we try new things every time we do, so there aren't too many places we haven't tried yet.

And even if I haven't tried them, I would be willing to - there are not many places I just will NOT try. :lmao:

I guess for sure Teppan Edo. No one in my house likes onions AT ALL, and everything there seems to be built around them (onion volcano??) or mixed with them. I would have to research this further though - if we could be assured of being onion-free, we might give it a try.

I also can't STAND Sushi, :crazy2: so I think I would give Tokyo Dining a definite pass.

I have never had a desire to eat at Cindy's Royal Table - the Princesses don't appeal to anyone in my family, and the menu can't justify the price.

I have never eaten at any of the food courts of any of the budget resorts, and can't imagine that I will unless I am staying there.

I am not sure about 50's Prime Time. The menu looks good, but if I got a server who was too "into" their role, I think it could become annoying and ruin the experience. I don't like being harassed while I am eating, even if it is "all in fun". I think I would tell them to bug off. :lmao:

Lastly, Akershus. Now, I HAVE eaten here before, but a long time ago. And I really did enjoy it then. But not since they changed the format. Again, it's Princesses. princess: And I liked it better when it was a full buffet, rather then just starters and then a plated meal with very limited choices. But I still might be willing to try it.

ESPN Zone, Big River, Rainforest Cafe, Planet Hollywood (why on Earth would you eat at a chain restaurant when you have so many awesome counter and table services unique to WDW, especially in EPCOT!!)

Chef Mickey's/1900 Park Fair - no interest
TRex -did enough chain type restaurants
Nine Dragons - I can get Chinese at home
Earl of Sandwich - not a fan of sandwiches
Tutto - I am not paying those prices for pasta, I've eaten in Italy for less than half the cost of what they charge

Poor Biergarten - everyone's bashing it - we have lunch there each trip and it's good and so much fun

A part of me would really like to try all the restaurants in WDW at some point, but there are a few that aren't exactly on my priority list...

-Marrakesh - my conservative side has a problem with the thought of bringing my husband and two boys to a place with a belly dancer; not to mention I don't find much appealing on the menu

-Cap'n Jack's - I'm not a major seafood fan, but my hubby and one of my sons really are significantly less into seafood, as in, they despise it.

-Polynesian Luau - overpriced, got that conservative issue with the hula girls and my boys, and we'd much rather go to 'Ohana!

Beirgarten!

I love Polish and German food but my family and friends don't so unless I want to eat by myself, it's not happening!

OP, I felt the same about Casey's till my son forced me to try a corn dog bite and well! now I'm kind of hooked on the little devils!

Nine Dragons

15 years ago I had bad Chinese at Disney, funky chicken parts (I wondered if it even was chicken) and to this day I can't bring myself to eat there. I don't even think it was the same restaurant but I can't get past it! The menu looks good but no can do!

#1 is Victoria and Alberts. Anyplace that you have to get dressed up in a sports coat is not DH and my ideas of vacation. He wears a sports coat virtually only for weddings and funerals.

Either Mexican place (TS)-we live on the Mexican border and can go to an authentic Mexican place anytime (actually it's hard to avoid Mesican food around here)

Hollywood and Vine-only because we're out of the loop on this, and so we have no idea in where the characters there are from.

Out the places we have eaten, here is where we probably would never return:

1. Marrakesh- worst meal I've ever eaten at WDW
2. LTT - boring and felt like freezer section food served in a restaurant
3. Coral Reef - food was pretty bad and we have 2 local Aquarium restaurants if we want that kind of dining atmosphere
4. Le Cellier - we tried it for lunch and while it was good for 1 credit at lunch, we HATE doing TS lunch. The food is a total RIP OFF for dinner as the meat and prep are far from signature quality.
5. Tusker House - the day we went the food was all dried out, the service was poor, and the characters were just not into it with anyone
6. Boma - DH and the kids hated it + DH noted that there was limited meat selection and what was there was pretty poor quality. I liked several things there, but it was things like rice and couscous...and $40+ pp for rice and couscous is not worth it. The famous zebra domes were also a total let down.

As for places we've never eaten...

1. Nine Dragons - for whatever reason, it does nothing for me. I've also heard this is the most dangerous of the Disney TS restaurants for someone with a nut allergy. DD5 has PA and TA allergies so I don't like taking chances.
2. La Hacienda - I currently live in TX and get enough really good Mexican food locally. I'd still go to San Angel - even with it's awful reviews - just for the scenery.
3. Yak & Yeti - what can I say, I look at the menu and can never see anything I want to eat
4. & 5. The Plaza and Tony's Town Square - neither has items that jump out at me. I think I'd rather eat CS than go to either one.

As for places we've never been,

Chef Mickey's. I have heard some not so great things about it, and when I looked around the CR, I just had no desire to ever go there.

I will not be returning to Hollywood Brown Derby, was not impressed with the food or service. If I would have spent 2 TS credits for that meal I would have asked for a refund. I paid OOP with TIW so it wasn't that much of a sting.

I have no desire to try:

Casey's Corner-I only like skinless hot dogs & I've heard the ones at Casey's are not.

Kouzzina: No interest in the menu and looks kinda boring.

Lotus Blossom Cafe: I just don't see the point in going to a chinese restaurant in WDW, when there are so many other unique places to try.
