What restaurant does everybody hate...but you love?

I've always enjoyed Sci-Fi too! Granted we usually have burgers, fries and shakes but they're always delish!
Chefs De France is another one of my faves which generally gets panned on these boards!

We love 9 Dragons, but it gets no love on the boards. We know it's still American-Chinese food, but darnit, I can't get enough of the Honey Sesame Chicken. The good thing for us, is that we can always get ADRs last minute here if we need to.

Ditto this exactly. :)

:cool1: Nine Dragons fans here!!!! We always get the Honey Sesame Chicken and Potstickers. YUM! YUM! Shhhhh! It's our little secret on good Chinese-American food at WDW. I read the menu for the Yak and Yeti (at DAK), it looks like the same as Nine Dragons. We may try that one sometime too.

In spite of all the negative reviews I read on here, I went ahead and made ADRs for Sci-Fi Dine-In for our WDW trip last month. We stuck with burgers and had a great time. That is why I usually takes others advice/recommendations with a grain of salt and go and form our own opinion. People have different likes and dislikes. Look at the threads on the best and worst WDW restaurants. Both threads have ALL the same restaurants. To each their own. ;)

Another one for Tony's! I'd do anything for a beef and spinach cannelloni right now!!! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

I love the "flicks" at Scifi. I just wouldn't waste a TS for it. the ribs were nothing great. but to pay out of pocket for a burger, whatever... great!'
hmmm, I'll have to rethink Nine dragons. haven't 'knocked it off: my list yet.

We always go to Mama Melrose's at least once a year, in September for my birthday. They are the most accommodating of any restaurant I've ever eaten at, in or out of WDW. I usually get the spaghetti diavola, but I like it with only the shrimp and non-spicy marinara. They've always been happy to prepare it exactly like I want it and there is always more shrimp than I can eat.

The chocolate cake is my favorite dessert in all of WDW. It is the one must-have dessert for me. Well, that is unless you count a Dole Whip Float as a dessert. I also love the overall atmosphere of the place.

What a great SCI FI thread!!! Count us in for sci fi, also San Angel and Mama Melrose!

Well, we enjoyed sci fi last time and are planning to try the unpopular San Angel and Mama Melrose on our upcoming Dec trip. So I hope we have the same tastes Kaybird and we enjoy them too! :goodvibes

For me it is Sci-fi dine in at the Studios. DH and I love the atmosphere, think the movie clips are hilarious and don't have a single complaint about the food. The last time I ate there (Oct), I thought my ruben was very good and I loved the cucumber salad that I could order instead of fries. I also thought the milkshakes were out-of-this-world.

It may be a little pricier, but hey, its a sit down restaurant, you're in air conditioning, of course its going to be more expensive than the backlot express!

I am with you.
I am a Sci-Fi defender! Love the place.

Yep, I would have to agree with Sci-Fi. My whole family loves the place. I see everyone here (on the DIS) praise 50's PT, but I don't see the shine there anymore. The last 3 times I was there, we did not have a good time. No one played around, nothing. We gently initiated some play, we still got nothing. I would rather go to Sci-Fi and enjoy the atmosphere there. Just bring me my onion rings, ribs and hot fudge sundae, and things will be just ducky!

Sci fi is our must do as well! It was our first TS on our honeymoon and we have been back every visit. We came across it one afternoon and we were hungry so we went in and were lucky enough to get a table right there. I LOVE the burgers and we have made a lunch ADR this time just so I can have another one.

The Coral Reef. I love the cracked Alaskan King Crab Legs. They are always cooked perfectly. I love the atmosphere, have always had excellent service (even when tips were included with the DDP) and I don't think the prices are that high for the quality that we've always recieved.

Alfredo's of Rome was my all time favorite at WDW, but they closed it. :( My family and I now eat at 9 Dragons and Yakitori House. We once got looks from our waiter at 9 Dragons because we ordered so much food. We showed him up by eating everything in sight. We were hungry that day ;)

Ours would be the Spirit of Aloha dinner show. We almost cancelled a couple of years ago, due to the negative reviews. We found the show to be good & the food very good--especially the bread, salad, grilled veggies & chicken.

Tony's without a doubt! We love it there and have dinner there once a trip. The way people talk about it on here you would think it would be empty. Nope it is always packed. This was one of our best meals on our last trip.

TONY'S TOWN SQUARE at MK!!!

There should be a Thread on What Restaurant Everybody
Loves and I Hate:
