What resort would you not stay at again?

The object for me is to get the dates and size of accomodations I need, the resort though I do prefer some to others, is really only secondary! I'll stay at any of them to get the stay that I want, I haven't had such a horrible stay to ban any resort as an option!

So funny to read the diverse opinions. Truly emblematic of "different strokes for different folks". We just bought in at BCV. Have never been to SSR, OKW, AKV or VWL. We visited BLT and BWV. Like BWV, but not nearly as much as BCV. Did not like BLT at all, just not our style.

We have loved BCV from the minute we first checked in two years ago, and both of our stays there have been amazing. I guess what we have experienced there is the same feeling most experience at their favorite place. It's a testament to Disney, I guess, that they could create such a myriad of options that elicit such strong opinions, yet ultimately provide the same bottom line experience.

I think we will really like VWL and AKV. My brother stayed at OKW last year and swears it's the only place he'll ever stay. So again, ask 10 people this question and you'll get 10 different answers. To me, that's a good thing!

There isn't a DVC that we wouldn't stay at.

Of the regular resorts, I won't go back to Pop (too garish) and CBR (I can't stand the in the wall A/C units, they just don't keep the room dry enough. Everything was wet all week in our room. I felt like we were in a cheap road-side motel).

DVC - we did BWV once and that was enough.

I could do without staying at CBR again (did it twice) and dh is DONE with value.

Poly was way overrated - glad we did it once though.

will never do the values again...would rather stay off property if that was the only option...our least favorite DVC is OKW.

I don't think I will do BCV again, it is hard to get in there and not worth the effort.

Of the DVC resorts, Saratoga is our least favorite. Much too large and spread out, even though we happened to get a nearby section to lobby.
Did not care for the outside corridors and concrete look. And the line at food court (restaurant) was entirely too long for us. Transportation not that great. However, if it were the ONLY resort open, I would take it for a trip to see the Mouse.

I prefer BWV or BCV within walking distance to Epcot.

I have to say that best thing about dvc is there is something for everyone!!! Love BLT for the location and room lay out, 3 baths in the 2 bedroom. LOVED AKV only there 1 night Kidani and checked in at 3 pm out 11 am the next day but we saw many, many animals it was so cool! We walked over to Jambo and the walk was really nice. OKW loved the "laid back" feel and balcony but I have to say with all the hype of "bigger rooms" I just did not get it. I was in a 2 bedroom with 3 people at OKW and at BLT with 7 people and just felt like BLT was a all around better choice for us lay out and location. I cannot wait to try them all. I would not be disappointed at any resort as long as I got my 2 bedroom unit if we have 4+ people. This is why I am excited about dvc

Like many other posters, there is not a DVC resort where I wouldn't stay. I doubt that I'll go back to an All Star resort-- I agree with others that I'd prefer to stay off site.

We're new to DVC, so we've only stayed at SSR, VWL, and OKW. We loved them all, but we tend to prefer OKW for the size villas and the lower points. We really loved the proximity of VWL to MK and the pools. Our kids loved SSR for the pools and the better counter service options. We look forward to staying at the other resorts when possible.

For us it's mostly location, location, location. With two special needs children, it's a huge bonus to be able to go back to the room easily if someone has a meltdown. And since we fly, and don't rent a car for the entire stay, Saratoga and AKV are right out.

Loved the BW, but last time I must admit we had a fabulous room right off the lobby, overlooking the pool. Gorgeous!

The fact that the BW and BC have boat access to both HWS and Epcot makes them prime territory for us. (Boats are SO much easier than buses with a stroller). Plus Epcot - and the French pastry shop therein - is a peaceful stroll away.

I'd like to try BLT, because getting to and from the MK from the BW was a bit of a pain for rope drop.

But I hold out faint hope that one day they'll build a resort on the Epcot-TTC monorail line that will have a theme that appeals to me more than BLT. ;) Yes, I know, good luck with that.

While there are different strokes for different folks, indeed, I think that Disney is learned that their most successful (read here - best selling) resorts either have excellent location/park access OR such profound theming and dining that they are a destination unto themselves. Which is why so many people hate on SSR so much - the theming is nice, but rather bland, and it's way out in the boondocks if you don't have a car. Not to mention sprawling.

No values for us -- too small and too crowded with "the masses". I guess this is why we love OKW as it seems quiet and peaceful and we love the parking. I would also take any DVC if it means I am at WDW however! ;)

I can't ever stay at ALL star Movies again! A family member contracted something wonky we're pretty sure from the tub there and now I always, *always* travel with a pair of rubber gloves and disinfecting wipes to any and all hotels :scared1: I pray none of you have to be converted in this manner.

The resort was cute and there's parts of it I really liked, it was just the not clean feeling I had the whole time... I do think it's because how fast ASM turns over tho.

I've had major horrible plumbing experiences at the Poly (twice = two different trips) one of which required me to shower at the outside beach shower (in bathing suit of course) while maintenance re-plumbled under the sink....the second time wasn't that bad but still it makes you wonder. I still adore the Poly tho and would stay there in a heartbeat BUT request second not ground floor. Tis a shame too because I love walking out from patio onto the grassy areas in my fave longhouse....

and yes these issues fed into my decision to buy BLT....I LOVE that it's a highrise!

I wouldn't stay at CBR again as we were stuck in North Trinidad section ( before pirate rooms) and we a hike to get to anything. I also didn't care for the theming.
