What resort would you not stay at again?

for those saying that they wouldn't stay at AKV again - was it just the walk to the room?

I've stayed at Jambo 2x and Kidani 1x...I've only had a close room once, and it definitely made a big difference in the enjoyment of my vacation - so I understand where you are coming from.

Having said that - even with the long walks, AKV ranks as one my favorites anywhere...

Count me in as one who would not stay at AKV again. Much too long of a walk and the "savanah" view that I had was severely lacking. I would have just as soon had a parking lot view. If it came down to staying at AKV or off-site, I'd opt for Westgate Vacation Villas just outside of the entrance to Disney property.

We're stayed at AKV Jambo twice....plan on two stays in Kidani this year. We love most everything about AKV. I will say if I got a room at the very end of Kidani though I would not be thrilled. But far rooms aside, we find stays at AKV to be a pretty unique hotel experience between the African themeing and animals.

I've stayed at all DVC resorts, and would go back to any of them tomorrow. However, I would not return to CBR or stay offsite

For DVC resorts, it would be Boardwalk. For non-DVC resorts,...the only ones I stayed in prior to DVC were deluxe ones except for CBR and PORS. Not at all interested in either of those again. I wouldn't even consider trying the values.

We are new owners and have not yet stayed anywhere on points, so I'm not sure I am completely qualified to answer. That being said, we did get a Pop to OKW upgrade a few years ago. There were so many things wrong with the room (leaking faucet, bathroom door wouldn't latch, etc), and we were so far from the main building, that we were totally not impressed. Considering how much most people love it, I think we just had really bad luck. I won't say never again, but it will be a long while before we try OKW again.

SSR seemed to spread out. We were in the Carousel section and the walk to the food court and gift shop was too long.

Yep, just what I was going to say. Probably SSR--we got "stuck" in Carousel too and did not have a SSR good experience. One advantage to Carousel was you were right by the entrance if you needed to escape!

Our other "not a fan" choice, was Coronado Springs. We stayed there way back in 2000 in the Casitas section. We thought the resort grounds were beautiful but didn't like the room and just didn't have a pleasant stay there either.

There is no resort that I wouldn't visit again. We do have our favorites and not-so-favorites. We absolutely loved Boardwalk. I am actually surprised that it was brought up here a few times as a place that someone wouldn't want to stay again. My wife didn't like the darkness of AKV, as well as the food options, and she says she wouldn't want to go again. Neither of us particularly liked SSR. I would stay there again, but it would have to be because few other options were available.

If I get stuck with a reservation at the BWV for the same time you get stuck with a reservation at SSR, I'll trade you.

DVC wise, I would stay at any of them again! They all have pluses and minuses- and for anything larger than BCV I think location really, really does matter on the enjoyment of your stay. Still need to try VWL, though...and GCV!

Outside of DVC, I have only ever stayed at the Beach Club, so I guess I'm not qualified to answer that one- but I would be happy to try anything- even the values, but only if it wasn't for longer than a night or two. Too spoiled by DVC to sleep in those little beds for longer than that, I guess.

Okay the one resort I wasn't crazy about was BCV. It was way too hotel like for me. But I really liked BWV, though that might have been that we had a BW view villa.

BLT was a big hit with my 10 yr old son. I'd stay again gives me an excuse to have an adult dinner at the Cali Grill!

Haven't tried AKV, I'm not crazy about the dark decor and the kids could care less about seeing animals and it requires some sort of transporation to get anywhere. So don't know if we'll ever get over there in the near future.

We have no problem staying at SSR, it was the 1st Disney resort the family stayed at and is one of our home resorts. We don't find a problem with the walking, it's not that far from Congress Park to the Springs section. We love being able to walk to DTD and it's a bonus having a home resort with a good number of GV.

Stayed once at the GF on a business meeting, it was okay. Not crazy on the decor.

As far as DVC, BWV would be my last choice on site. It's too much hotel crammed on to too little land for me. I also wouldn't bother with HHI again. Absolutely no desire to ever go back to SC or that resort.

I agree completely, I have my favorites too. But I would be happy to stay at any.

I would not object to returning to any Disney Resort I've been to before, and that includes Grand Californian (haven't been to the villas yet) and Vero Beach. I'd rather not do a value, but would under the "right" circumstances (one night on arrival, or just can't get anywhere else).

For us we won't be doing the beach club again. Just a personal preference (walk through lobby to pool, decor, etc) but I mean it's like picking your favorite child.

I would put BWV at the bottom of my list, it's too busy for me, but if nothing was available elsewhere it would be fine. I like OKW for the parking and size of the rooms.

If I had to pick from not going to WDW or picking my least fav resort, I'd pick my least fav resort. That said, we would never pick AKV ever again. Stayed once in the lodge savannah view and once CL savannah view. Both times we maybe saw the same 3 animals. That and the darkness. Just not impressed.

Not sure DH will go back to BWV. We stayed there are very first DVC trip (along with OKW) and just didn't love it. Long hallway, too hotelly, crappy buses. We also had several bad experiences with DS2 being injured; some being BW's fault and some being partially their fault, partially ours. I would try it again though.

We have not stayed at HHI though we have visited it there. We have no desire to EVER step on that island again. The locals were unfriendly and service was slooowwwwww. Painfully slow. We also didn't feel the magic when we walked around the resort.

I have loved all of the resorts we have stayed at, both DVC and not. Was surprised by so many not liking AKL. Loved our 2BR Kidani Savanah view.

If I had to pick I would say SSR was not my favorite, it was just too big for us. We were in Congress Park and it was nice and pretty, but didn't like how there was no hot tub and had to walk a distance to get to the food/shop. I did like being able to walk to Downtown Disney though! Of course I would stay there again, no problem, but there are others that I prefer more.

Congress park has a hot tub its is right next to the pool. In fact, I would say that it is my favorite hot tub it overlooks the lights of DTD.
