Does anyone know what resort has the best bus route. I was told some resorts you have to transfer buses to get back and forth to and from the parks. I was also told that PO resort was good, they have a bus that goes right to each park. Hope someone understands what I'm asking here. Thanks

We prefer AKL because it is the only resort that doesn't share it's buses with other resorts.

I don't think you have to transfer from one bus to another to get from any resort to any park. But most do share buses, i.e. Polynesian, GF, and Contemporary. So if you're at the Poly you would board the bus, it would stop at GF, then CR and then head to the park. There would be a different bus for each park. The monorail at Poly, GF, CR is a nice option if you're going to spend most of your time and MK. Otherwise it isn't a real benefit.

Hope this helps.

We have never had to stop at another resort when traveling by bus between Old Key West and the various theme parks.

With the exception of Fort Wilderness Campgrounds, all theme park buses are direct. No transfers needed.

AK Lodge is the only bus that typically only has one stop. Most other buses either make multiple stops within the resort, or stop at another resort.

For example... Old Key West, Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans, and Coronado Springs have thier own buses, however, each makes multiple stops within the resort.

Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, Swan, Dolphin, Yacht, Beach, and the Boardwalk all have one stop, but the bus might stop at another nearby resort along the way.

The All-Stars also tend to share amongst themselves.

As for which is better than another... you'll hear good and bad about every resort. It's really hit or miss. Most often it'll be fine at any resort, but every once in awhile, there will be a blip, and you'll be sure to hear about it. *shrug*

My advice: Don't worry about transportation -- book the resort that you like best. :)

I have read that Coronado Spring's busses are very good. We were there in May a couple of years ago, and loved it. Bus service was awsome.

We are staying at CBR this trip. Hoping for the best, but I'm nervous.

We were at Port Orleans last week and the bus service was excellent.

We had a bus dedicated to the resort (although this may change when French Quarter opens) and we did not wait more than a few minutes for a bus. Apart from the late bus from Down Town Disney and an early bus to Magic Kingdom there was never anyone standing.

I was very impressed.

When we were at Coronado Springs last year, the bus service was EXCELLENT!They were never crowded, and only once in 6 days did we have what I thought was a bit of a wait for a bus.It was when we were leaving Epcot, but it was before Illuminations began bc we were tired and did not want to stay and then fight the crowds.

One time we had the entire bus to ourselves........our bus driver called it our own personal strech limo! Cute.
