My mother (50yrs old) myself (28) and DD (4 1/2) are thinking of doing a girls only weekend at WDW. We go all the time being so close and stay every once inawhile. There's a great deal for Florida resident and was wondering on what deluxe resort you would stay at? DM's already stayed at GF and she didn't like that. We've all stayed at AKL, WL and Polyn.

I would choose the Contemporary Tower - since you have your DD. It is on the monorail, walk to MK, Chef Mickey's, a room that has a view of the MK (the castle and fireworks included - smile) and so much more. The CR Tower is my sentimental favorite dekuxe resort. Have fun deciding!

My mom (67), me(33) and my DD(almost 6) are doing our girls only trip at the WL in Feb.. This is my mom's first time staying in a deluxe resort and the 2nd time staying on property.
My DD and I always make our mommy and me trip in February but this year my mom is joining us ( my dad passed away in October). I am getting anxious to make this a nice "escape" for her.

The WL is just so "different" from everything else, it is almost a vacation in a vacation..ya know?

We are taking a girls only trip in January and we are staying at the Polynesian. My friends Mom has never stayed in a Deluxe and we think she will love the Polynesian. I think the Grand Floridian would be too fancy for her. I vote for the Contemporary for you since you have already stayed at the other resorts in the area, unless you prefer one of the others.

Have a great time.

since you have already done most of the MK resorts - how about one of the Epcot resorts - BW, BC/YC are very nice - however the transportation to the MK leaves alot to be desired.....

if you know that the MK is going to be your main park - then I would go back to the Polyn or WL.

if however you are going to spend the majority of your time at Epcot (then BC) - if Studios (then BW) - just because they are closer to these parks.

I also vote for an Epcot area resort since you've stayed at the other deluxes. All the hotels there are wonderful. Since it's a special trip, why not do concierage? I've heard it's very good at YC and BW. I thought the bus service to MK was very good from the Epcot area.

ugh..I stayed at the YC in 1996 and the BC in 1997...wanted to stab myself in the eye trying to get a bus!!

I stayed there in 2001 for Christmas, and if I had a choice, I would stay there everytime! It was beautiful.

We're staying at WL in March using our DVC points. Out of DVC points until then, so will be using FL resident rates. Seriously thinking of Epcot resorts. Didn't even come to mind. Would be nice to just walk to Epcot! Thanks for all the help!

Sense you have covered the MK Resorts and the AKL why not try one of the EPCOT Resorts I love BWV one bedroom, or YC/BC staying that close to MGM and EPCOT will make your stay completely different then just taking a bus to the area.

Have a GREAT TRIP :earsboy:

What about Port Orleans Magnolia Bend buildings? I think it is so beautiful and romantic. Very "girly" according to my tomboy dd! I want to stay there and constantly get out-voted for more rugged or fun places.
