What reservation time to catch Illuminations?

It is just DH and I this trip and we are going to Epcot for one day. We were thinking about the Chinese place for dinner. Is it good? What time should we make reservations if we want time to see Illuminations?

We're also considering Coral Reef for lunch. Is it good? The only table service we have eaten at in Epcot is Via Napoli.

We ate at both. Nine dragons was ok but that's about it. Our local takeaway has better food. Coral reef, food was nice, bit disappointed in the restaurant itself, but to be fair that was probably more to do with our misconceptions. Just thought it was more of an aquarium.

Biergarten, lecellier seem to get good reviews. We're trying them next time.

As to timing, illuminations is at 9:00 so i'd say 7:00 to be sure. Apparently from sone resturaunts you can see the show. I think LaHacienda de San Angel is one. Others will likely know more
