where do you absolutely love to eat that I havent listed - where else should i think about planning?

I'm noooo expert...this is just personal preference based on what my almost 10 year old ds would like....so take it for what it's worth! :) And also based on lots of reviews and our own dining experiences...

I would switch Rainforest Cafe for Donald's Breakfastsaurus....when we go to Disney we like the Disney touch..Rainforest Cafe's are in several cities...and we really like getting an early am breakfast at Donald's before the park opens to take advantage of good positioning for an early safari ride or dinosaur rides.

The only other two I don't see on your list are the castle at Magic Kingdom...it's just a thrill to eat there....dinner would be great..you could time it for the fireworks and there aren't any meddling princesses to get in the way of a teenage boy's desire to be cool...it's just a blast to eat at the castle and be treated like a prince.

I'd also consider a lunch at Beaches and Cream near Beach Club...best hamburgers and cool spot to people watch...

Last consideration would be Sci Fi....my son thought this was really cool....and if you're going in the summer it's a great spot to cool down in.

Have a wonderful time...what a neat trip to take with your son!!! :)

You're missing the three best restaurants at WDW--Jiko, California Grill, and Citrico's, not necessarily in that order.

Thanks for the suggestions Tara
I do realize I didnt list SciFi even though it is planned for a late lunch on our last day
We enjoyed lunch in the castle this past Oct
We ate at Donald's this past Oct too - already have 2 char meals w/Mickey & a char meal w/Pooh gang planned so wasnt planning on another character meal - I might add it on though
I also have Beaches & Cream planned for a lunch or 2 - not listed here because they arent PS

Anne - I did look at those - Im going w/my DS13 this trip - DH is staying home - in the future maybe he & I will do those

ESPN is in the plans - I dont believe they take PSs
Ive read about the Berry Cobbler at Artist Point - do they have it as take out?

Our son ate at the CG, YSH, Fulton's, Palio, etc. when he was 13. Jiko wasn't open or he would have eaten there as well. He loves upscale dining--then and now.

Girl! I think you've got it COVERED!!! :) Well done!! The only problem with your PS's is they're making me gain weight without eating!! :)

Have a wonderful trip!!! :flower:

Tara - I did put down a few times just to have fruit for dinner after a couple late lunches - I'll try to keep an eye on what Im actually eating - planning on lots of salads at lunch

I say ENJOY yourself...I really like a good salad and DW has some of the best...I don't think I've ever gained any weight on a Disney trip because of all the walking walking walking....and with a 13 year old how could you gain weight??? He'll keep you on the go!
I've been losing weight and just thinking of all those restaurants and envisioning the sights and smells makes my thighs itch! :) But, you must promise me that you will give reviews on the bunch!!! There are several on your list I haven't tried and we'll take our last trip to Disney this year for a goood long time so I don't want to miss the "not to miss" bunch! :)

Can't wait to hear about it on your return!

I have a stupid question. Does anyone know if there is a cancellation fee for the HDD(R)? I would love to make a PS, but I am not sure what night is going to work, as my DBL and family are going with. Help if you can.
Thanks,
Jonna

I agree with Ducklite- the California Grill is a must for us. We've gone with our kids many times. I took my son Ian there for dinner last December when he was 14- he said it was one of the best meals he had ever eaten. My daughter requested the California Grill for her 13th birthday dinner this July. A trip to WDw would not be the same for us without California Grill :)
