What passes through your mind....

I have been beginning to wonder if those who were cast out during the great cleansing are making their way back again?

The mobs are gone but there are clusters. Sometimes I think back lovingly to those spray cans of Troll Spray some used to post on here:laughing: I miss those

I think the sad reality is, what many think are Troll posts, are in fact, legit.

Just look at what has happened in the past 3 years in our society, people went out and bought things that anyone with common sense should have known they could not afford, and people at banks lent them the money to do it, even though if they had any common sense, they should have knonw they could not afford it. Then both are SHOCKED...when the reality that they can't afford it hits.

Sad to say it happens so often on the internet and in true life that it does not phase me any more. It is just too common of an occurrence. :sad2::confused3

I think what a sad pitiful punk of a person because I'm positive they wouldn't have the guts to say that to a person's face.

It says everything about the person writing it and nothing about the person they're writing about, which, unfortunately, is their point. It's beyond sad.

You know, after having received a very nasty PM last night from someone who knows nothing about me, and then making it so that I could not reply to them, your statement made me feel much better. Thanks, you're right. ;)

I usually just think that I'm glad that my life isn't that miserable.

Usually that and then that the poster must be a real treat in real life. I don't think that you can be a nasty so and so online and a sweetheart in real life.

I just feel sad for them. And I wonder why they're so unfriendly?

I type out a response then most of the time delete it and move on. Tonight I typed out a response and actually hit reply, but it was hard because I am mostly non-confrontational.

:thumbsup2 Cute and Civil.

I have thought all of these things and more. I mostly hit the back button.

There are a few perpetual meanies. I just avoid them altogether as much as I can. :)

I'm here for fun, not a slam fest.

That's very sad. Whomever it was is much too vested in a public message board. :sad2:

Sorry you had to deal with that...

I am not surprised by anything anymore. The anonymity of the Internet is one thing, but I honestly believe that some of these posters are like this in real life.

There are a few that when I see their names, I just cringe, as I know they are going to be rude and snarky, and sure enough, they are. I refuse to put people on ignore, as that means I miss out on some information, so I usually just skip those responses.

I find with people like this, no matter what you say, you aren't going to get through to them. When people find it acceptable to PM a stranger and discipline or chastise them, call someone's husband or child a loser, or, when people find it acceptable to call others liars, despite not knowing them, there is not much that you can say to that. I find that responding to them just gives them the fire to continue to justify their rudeness and ignorance in subsequent posts.

I really don't believe there are many trolls on here - the rudies are alive and well, and somedays, it's very aggravating and annoying.

Tiger :(

many times I just want to reach through the screen and smack the nasty poster upside their head, thank goodness that is currently not an internet option because my hand would be sore from smacking people.:)

I do have to admit that I have replied a few times to these nasty people (but never really saying 100% what I would like to say because I would get banned) but, it doesn't do any good. I did notice that there are a few posters that habitually post nasty, rude comments and I just wonder what makes some people so mean.

I am thankful that these nasty people only make up a very small portion of Dis'ers and overall I think the Dis is full of some really great people.

Anyone who has a job dealing with the public knows this is true.

As my wife puts it, "the general public are dumber than cattle and harder to please"

I totally agree with you! For the most part everyone is very nice here, but there are a few that just look for reasons to jump on someone. I just find that totally unnecessary.
