What park to hit on your last half day?

We will be in Disney on a Sat., Nov 4th and checking out Sat. Nov 11th, my question is, we want to hit one last park till dinner or dark, then head home, Which one would you do on a Saturday considering the following:

It is Jersey Week
Soap Weekend at MGM
Wine and Food Fest at Epcot

These three things make for huge crowds, but if you had to pick, what park would you hit under these circumstances?

Knowing us, we would hit MGM first thing in the morning and do all our favorites. Then head over to EPCOT to take in the scenery and one last walk around the countries.

ENJOY!

For us, this is always a last-minute decision.... what do we want to do again, ot revisit. It's different every time.

Animal Kingdom, since most people think its less than a full-day park anyway... okay, fine - since it usually closes at 5 PM anyway.

I understand but the problem with that is, going to MGM during soap weekend is a no-no, so I been told.

And I love Epcot, but I am going for my two kids, 5 and 2, to get one last day out of Disney, but I want to make the most of that day.

I was thinking that as well. Knowing my wife and mother in-law, they will be pushing MK but I fear it would be a waste of a day since it is on a Saturday, Jersey Weekend and many schools have off that Friday for Veterans day, so, I will try my hardest to stay away from MK on that day........

We always have to begin and end our week at MK. The last thing we do is walk down MS, turn around and wave to the castle.

So sad...

That would be the perfect ending, but seeing that this weekend will be the busiest time that we will be there, I would hate to fight the crowds and leave Disney on an bad note. I guess AK would have th least people, so the kids could see more things instead of wasting hours on line while in a packed MK.

MK has the weekend and Jersey week crowds, Epcot has the Food and Wine Fest and MGM has Soaps weekend, it looks like AK will have to be the best bet............................UNLESS, most of the peopke at MGM will be there for the soap stars, not the rides?

Normally I would go with MK and hit the Mt's, but since it's going to be busy I would definately have to go with Epcot. Epcot to me always seems to be the least crowded because everything is so spread out. There's also some really good rides to go on, lots of shopping, and GREAT food and drink!! But I think it's the most relaxing as well and since it's going to be your last day, I think relaxing is how you'd want to end it.

Another vote for Epcot - even when it's crowded it doesn't feel like it's crowded, and the F&W fest will make it possible to sample lots of different food instead of doing a big dinner before travelling.

We usually take a vote and go back to do the rides we just have to do one more time and then spend some time shopping for the must haves and have them shipped home!

Enjoy your trip!

MK all the way. I love going to this park last, I mean on my last day. Then walking down Main Street for the end to our trip and buying one last Ice Cream bar!!!

It is kind of depressing to think about leaving :badpc:

It all depends....on ourlast trip, on the day we went to MGM, RnR was down for most of the day, so on our last park day, most of the group wanted to head over there. Another time, Space Mountain was down, so we made time to go back to MK, though not on our last day.
Usually we leave our last park day very open, so that we can go back to whatever we missed, or the rides that eveyone wants to hit one more time.

I should say that we usually fly, so for us, the idea of getting out of the park, to the car, and to the airport in time makes me a little uneasy. So our last half day, we most often do non-park stuff. Sometimes we use the last day to go to DTD. That way we can buy souvies to bring home at the WoD store, esp. if you want to get something for people back home. Another thing we've done that last day, was to have a nice breakfast or lunch at a resort, and/or maybe go swimming. Most of the resorts have a changing room right next toth e pool, so you can do this without having to go back to the room. We also have a curious fascination with eating at a Waffle House...driving to the airport and back is sometimes one of the few times we're off property, so that's been one of our stops too. If there are any other offproperty places you like to eat, that last day can be a good time to do so.

Any park except for the Magic Kingdom. It makes leaving that much hader.

In fact, I've adopted a new leaving policy. Once the decision is made on how many nights we are going to stay, I always add 1 more on. That way, we're there for the amount of nights we planned on, however, I have that extra night so that we can get up 1st thing in the morning and leave before anything is open and anybody else is awake. It does help take the sadness of leaving away for a bit.

We were there that same weekend last year. We avoided MGM because of the Super Soap Weekend. And we found Epcot to be VERY crowded because it was the last weekend of the F&W festival and there were a lot of local people there. The F&W booths and lines for the booths really seem to make the walkways a lot narrower.

I think AK is a good idea . . .

I would say Animal Kingdom. It closes early anyway, and I don't really think there's enough there to keep you busy for an entire day.
