what others rave about and you just dont get it

My list of things I don't get:

BBB: My kids wouldn't last 30 minutes with their hair pulled so tight in that bun. It makes me wince just looking at those little girls.
The bun itself is actually a hairpiece that the kids take home with them. My daughter still wears hers on Crazy Hair Day at school from time to time. My little girl really, really loves to dress up at Disney World and the whole BBB was just part of the fun. It cost $50, which, as you know, is quite the bargain at WDW. Check her out.

I agree with the BBB comments. That hair is painful. Why is this the only hair style available? None of the Disney princesses have hair like that. :confused3

School Bread-yuck
Dole Whip-just OK

Deluxe Dining Plan-who eats that much food? in the Florida heat? It must take so much time eating and getting to the restaurants much less the agonizing that takes place compiling and getting ADR's.

Touring plans-if I wanted a scheduled day, I would just stay home.

Character meet and greets & autograph books-I am lucky the boys have zero interest in characters.

Parades-not worth it. Not worth standing in the full Florida sun and not worth dealing with the rude people

First I have to say I LOVE Fantasmic! but that may be because my 2 favorite Disney movies of all time are Sleeping Beauty & Fantasia. Hmm... ;) And you guys are worrying me with Chef Mickey's! I was planning to try it in Sept!

Do it once to see what you think. It's not bad...just over rated. There are other character breakfasts I would choose over Chef Mickey's after going twice.

Dole Whip, but only because Dole Whip at the Dole Plantation on Oahu in HI is sooooooo much better than in MK, I can't eat it anywhere but there!

Also,

Test Track. It's not really all that thrilling to me in any way shape or form! I'd rather ride Spaceship Earth over and over!

Also also,

Kali River Rapids. It's just... I dunno, out of place to me. It seems like a filler ride because they didn't know what else to do, and they could buy it ready-made or something?

I don't get making ADRs for a meal at 3:30 etc. what meal is that lol. I would still need lunch, still be hungry later or maybe its just me! I cant go long periods without eating then eat a large meal at the hottest part of the day. If an eating place did not have the time to suit I wouldn't go. I prefer 3 equal spaced meals a day, breakfast lunch and dinner at reasonable times.

Now I hear people line up from 9:00 at BOG for lunch? Waiting for hours. Now with due respect we haven't been yet but is it really that good?

Fantasmic and Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk. Yuck to both.

This is an oddly entertaining thread!

Dole whip: pineapple in ice cream form just seems gross to me.

Turkey legs: haven't had one because they look greasy gross and, yes pink, although now I know what that's from.

The obsession with food at WDW! I've never seen so many people talk about the food in reference to a vacation. I've never once on had a $30+ per person meal every single day on vacation. Why must I do that at Disney world? And the 180 day advanced reservation just to eat? That's crazy. I've done it, of course, to eat in the couple of places I wanted but I think it's nuts to plan a meal 6 months in advance! We do mostly quick service and snacks. No dining plan here. I can't fathom or justify spending that much $$ on food.

Oh and Duffy and the big deal about a shopping area. I'm not on vacation to shop. It was already a ton of $$ just make it to the vacation, lol!

Turkey legs and not sure why I end up somehow at its a small world every time we go. Chalk that one up to tradition.

First of all what is Duffy? AK was a let down. I fell asleep during the Nemo show at AK, won't do that again ever. Indiana Jones at DHS was also boring.

You read my mind. Only way we do the DP is if it is "free". ADRs drive me crazy and we only make one per trip.

I don't get dole whips, and I love ice cream. Never understood why peter pan is so long of line... Am I the only one who don't get the rides in Mexico and Norway? They seem very boring to me. I am sure I have a bigger list.

For some reason, I just love the mexican boat ride. I have no idea why either.... maybe because it's just a relaxing place to cool off and then you come onto the mexican scene (which is really the people eating at the restaurant) ... and the little downtown market before you get to the boat ride. I love it all.

Then again, I've never been to Mexico, it's the closest I'll ever get. :lmao:

Me, haven't been since 2005, so I'm still in disney "awe".... over everything. I guess, I wasn't impressed w/ Epcot's illuminations. Much rather do wishes, or fantasmic.

AK, we'll be there for 9days an only plan on going there one day. I did like the tree of life and the show inside it. Also liked Lion King and our son adored the Bone Yard. He won 2 turtles at the games there and had them for years!

For me, it's Test Track.

You probably encountered more daring and dangerous driving maneuvers getting into your parking spot at Epcot and definitely in driving down I-4 than you do on this ride.

Do people seriously ride in a car for hours to get to a park to wait in line for over an hour to ride in a car?

Wife and I agree that Soarin was not all that it was cracked up to be. In AK, we usually do Flametree but this time around decided to try Anandapur/Yak &Yeti CS. Shoulda stuck with BBQ.....

Turkey legs  Ew. Pink "hammy" looking turkey blech! My DDs love them tho so I do get them for them...but I have to look away as they are eating.

Oh and Fantasmic...? We saw it once and with a Fantasmic package because otherwise, ya know, you have to line up like 15 hours in advance. For what? I mean yeah it was cute but I don't get the hype at all. Nor do I get the benefit of the package...we were last row in the very far right.. that was our "special seating" Meh.
