There are so many new movies and I haven't been in awhile. Now I don't know which one to go to first. Troy, VanHelsing, Shrek2, Harry Potter this weekend, Chronicles of Riddick, Stepford Wives, The Village, etc..
If you've seen these (the ones that are out now) how would you rate them.

Troy-Brad Pitt, no need for further comment..(Ok, it was a really great epic film...I'd give it an "8")

The Day After Tomorrow-amazing effects, looks so real and cold...The scientific terminology and "political" views on global warming were lost on me, but it was a grand scale movie, I'd give it an "8"

Van Helsing- I thought the storyline was stupid, and other than the costuming and makeup was a total bore. I fell asleep. I'd give it a 4 for the costumes/makeup/special effect...

We go every week, but I can't remember anything before these...

I've seen previews for the Stepford Wives, and would like to see that one. A friend went to Van Helsing and wanted to leave halfway through.

Troy
Shrek
Van Helsing

my order for the ones you mentioned (that are out now)

Shrek is funny and silly and a ton of fun. See that when you're in the mood to laugh.

Van Helsing has some nice effects and Hugh Jackman is good in spite of this rather convoluted movie. See it if you only want to see effects and don't care about story.

I hope to see The Day After Tomorrow tomorrow and I'm definitely looking forward to Riddick, The Village and of course Harry Potter. :)

The Village looks so SPOOKY!!!! But it doesn't come out until July 30. You can see the trailer at the official movie site. Shrek 2 was great, Van Helsing was good, Day After Tomorrow was alright, Harry Potter is a must-see, of course, Riddick looks like good fun, and I haven't seen much from the Stepford Wives. Troy - well, Pitt's butt - need I say more? :smooth:
