What option for stateroom gifts

What options do I have for any gifts that can be in the stateroom to surprise my family?

We had our custom basket made by Shirley , we had a trip to Florida and while on it the weather was yucky so we drove to Shirleys Shop with some of the stuff for the basket ... and then we fedex's the other item to her and she put the stuff together and made a basket for our friends had a six pack of Sam and a bottle of pink champagne that Shirley took care of getting for us and a whole bunch of goodies .... THEY LOVED IT......

I just worked with Shirley on a basket for my daughter. At first the price came in steep (based soley on the items I chose for the basket), then she suggested some highter priced items I could eaisly do without, and the price came down by over half!!!

The basket is customized to your wishes, not some generic type. And is filled with things my DD will delight in using on the cruise.

I had read about Shirley for nearly a year and she lived up to everything I had read about her.

I can't wait to see this basket. (It's a princess themed one)
She also asked who my DD's fav princess is to have the card on the basket from her.

I would recommend her in a second vrs. buying some standarized basket.

Any creative people have some fun ideas for the basket? It will be for my dh who is turning the big 4*0 while we cruise on the Magic!

I've still got 6 months to go, but I'd love some suggestions for my cruise too. My boys will both be celebrating birthdays (3&5). I already plan to get them each a gift basket from Shirley based on the recommendations here.

They are delivered right to your stateroom, last time it was there waiting when we boarded!

Ja'nice at "The Perfect Gift" is great in recommending items to put in your basket.

When I spoke to her about my GS's basket, I told her how I wanted to spend, How old he was, some of his favorites and some possible suggestions. I am leaving it up to her to put it all together.
You can also collect things at home and send them down to her and she will add them to the basket.

Even though I haven't seen the basket yet as we sail on the Magic Easter cruise, I am sure it will be splendid.

We have ordered several of her custom baskets, and they have been super. I have a couple of photos of them on my website. She did an adorable Chicago Bears theme for my hubby for our 10th anniversary.

I called Shirley for two baskets: One for my kids and one for my husband and I.

She had great ideas!

I wanted to have my kids favorite snacks and drinks keeping in mind we would be using them on our excursions. And we certainly did! They were thrilled to find their bag in the stateroom. They unpacked their goodies and we put them on a shelf and they were GONE by the third day! I just told Shirley what my 3 kids liked to snack on. We were coming from a stay at WDW so it was great that they had their favorite snacks on excursions.

My husband and I had our own gift basket that was perfect. My husband's mouth just dropped, he had no idea I had ordered these.

Shirley did a great job and matter of fact, I'll be calling her again in about 3 weeks!

I am also going to be ordering a basket from Shirley for our upcoming cruise.....I would like to add some things of my own and one thing I do want to find is that big Pooh pillow that DCL lists on there website.....has anyone seen this to order anywhere?

One of the things I often suggest is that if anyone wants to send something to us to make it more personable, they are most welcomed to do so and there is no extra cost to do this.
Just thought I would again remind everyone, we do not mind doing this and I really believe it adds to the "magic and wonder" of a gift basket.

ok, I have new info. A couple that we cruised with 2 years ago is taking a cruise with their children in June. We wanted to surprise them, so I called the cruise line to check out my different options. I wanted to give them something that I knew would remind them of our last cruise together. If you want to, YOU can put together a package, and ship it to the cruise line, and they will deliver it to the stateroom. The cruise line can't open it, so it will jsut be a box on the bed, but what a surprise when they open it!
