What one menu item...

Vegetable couscous from Restaurant Marrakesh. I could eat it everyday while at Disney. YUM! :)

This was a long time ago, but they used have this great apple turnover dessert at WCC. I wonder if it is still on the menu?

For some reason, I LOVE the soft serve ice cream they have at WDW and I crave that every time I go!

diznyfanatic, I am hooked on the butternut squash soup at Boma's as well. I am not a soup person at all since I MUST eat bowl after bowl of homemade diet veggie soup each day but happend upon this concoction on our last trip. It is all I can think about now. I even bought some of the new Campbell's new soup in desperation but it was not a thing like Boma's.

This replaces my former favorite, a Mickey Bar!! :thumbsup2

The only problem is that I am sure it is NOT a diet food in spite of the healthy sounding name. Too much cream and butter. What am I saying? There is no such thing as too much cream or butter. I am in big trouble. :stir:

Thank you so much for reminding me about this just before I go to have a big bowl of just plain veggies in a water based soup. :furious:

:rotfl2: Sorry about that! So how WAS that plain veggie water soup?

Boma is our FAVORITE restaurant and a must do every trip. While the food is unique and fabulous, there is just so much else that they have done right here.

The food set up is so much better than most of the buffets we've tried at WDW. Most of the other buffet lines are crowded, small, awkward and plain confusing to the first timers.

At Boma, there is plenty of space to make your selections and the flow of the line makes sense.

The ambiance can't be beat, the chefs are all standing by to happily answer questions about the menu items, and the hostesses that seat you give you a glimpse into their home country.

Can you tell we love it?!

diznyfanatic, somehow I sense a lack of sincerity in your post. :rotfl:

Actually the veggie soup is not really all that bad but after eating it nearly daily for the past two years I am less than crazy about it now. When I first started I loved the stuff. How come this does not work with chocolate? :sad2:

I like Boma's for all the reasons you listed. I do not care to eat the same foods that I eat at home when I travel. I read a post tonight where someone was praising LTT because their food tasted just like the Stouffer's stuff they nukked at home. Could it be cause some of it is Stouffer's?? Hey, different strokes for different folks.

I hope you get a seat back by the waterfall. It is the quietest spot there IMO. Please leave a little soup for me though?

Slightly Goofy (who is curious as to how to find out which night the chef will make my favorite)

Smoky Portobello soup at Artist Point! I wish I had some right now.

Slightly Goofy - actually, your soup sounds a whole lot better than the cottage cheese, crackers and occasional Twinkie I "cook" for myself sometimes!

Yeah, I'm like you. I want to try new things when we travel to WDW. I have a 4 year old granddaughter though that travels with us frequently, so it's difficult to find somewhere that will satisfy all of us. Thankfully, she loves Boma too!

Anyhoo, thanks for the seating tip near the waterfall at Boma. I'll see if I can sweet talk our way to giving us that location on our next trip! ;)

Potato wrapped snapper at Flying Fish

Frozen strawberry lemonade (Minute Maid) at AK or MK These are soooooooo refreshing on a hot Florida day!!! :goodvibes \

That's mine, too! I love that stuff! My runner-up would be the apple pie at Columbia Harbour House. . .normally, I do not eat apple pie (some bizarre aversion to cooked apples), but I LOVE that one!

Cobb salad from Brown Derby
Herb-crusted NY strip from Flying Fish
Fish and Chips from Rose and Crown
Grapefruit cake from Brown Derby
Anything from 'Ohana
The clams in the garlic broth from Cape May Cafe

I find myself craving.....

Strawberry Soup from Park Fare the most!

Close to that are the wings from Ohana and WDW popcorn (I know it's just popcorn..but it's different ...really!)

No trip is complete until I have had:

Cheddar Cheese Soup - Le Cellier
Funnel Cake - American Pavillion
Strawberry Swirl - Mrs. Pott's MK
Plaza Club(w/ German potato salad) - Plaza Restaurant
Frozen Sunshine - Beaches & Cream
Caramel Corn - Sleepy Hollow

Sorry, I cannot pick just one! :confused3
