"What Not To Wear" - Show is on again May 29

Thanks for sharing your pictures - you look great! Your makeup looks fantastic - how nice to be taught how to do it and then actually be able to do it yourself!

I've already ordered the BeneFit RSVP, thanks for the information! What about the eyeliner, if I can be a pest?

The hair cream I'll have a friend get & she can ship it to me, it's nowhere near us!

The pictures look great. You definitely did a good job of keeping up the look. :)

Philadisney, I just came across this site and I saw that the other night!!! I thought how could they make her get ride of Alice! or anything Disney. BUT, I also can say that they helped me a lot during my recovery from my accident. I have changed my wardrobe I think pretty well.... I havent worn my Disney shirts in a long time, and I sadly feel that someone else can get better use of them.

I have to say, I wondered if you would be a Disboard person... just something that popped in my head before you went shopping.

I saw it last night on the telly!

I don't get the TLC channel, so didn't see the show, so I would love to see some pictures. :goodvibes

Can we have a before-picture, a right-after-the-show-picture and a current one please?

And has someone already put it on Youtube, or is there any way to watch the episode online?
We can only see the UK-one :(

BTW, I agree and disagree to keep Disney out of your closet. To go to the parks, a Disney-shirt is more or less mandatory.
Out of the Parks, Disney-shirts are possible, as long as they are discrete. A polo-shirt with a small Mickey, why not? Polo Ralph Lauren has that polo-player, so if that's good, why a small Mickey not?
Fitted t-shirts for women are also posisble, but I cringe every time I see women wearing those regular t-shirts, the same ones the men wear. Brrrr.

I'm a long-time fan of WNTW so I have been following this thread from the beginning. I had my mother visiting me this weekend, so I insisted that she watch the show with me. (She'd never seen WNTW before!) We both LOVED it!

I loved that you got to go into the Disney store - I think that was the highlight for me. My mother said to me "You definitely would have done that."

We were both impressed by the changes at the end. You were attractive before, but they really brought out how beautiful you are. My mother said "She looks like a young Elizabeth Taylor - she really looks like a movie star!"

Thanks for making us feel part of your adventure! And now go back to WDW so you can replace your Disney wardrobe.

(Whether or not Stacy and Clinton think they are stylish, I know that if I'm having a "down" day, I can put on my Animal Kingdom Lodge T-shirt or one of my other Disney T-shirts, and it brings back those good vacation memories and puts a smile on my face.)

Kelly, I just wanted to join the others and tell you how beautiful you are! You really made us proud! Your show was the best one I have seen! You were such a great sport. Thank you for sharing your journey with us, it was just like reading a TR, and I love that you respond to almost everyone!
Keep up the good work, and thanks again

Speaking of Nick -I didn't care for his hair at all
I think he needs a hair make-over. But he always does a great job of cutting people's hair. Loved the show. What did your friends think of what they put you through? Did they make you take anthing back that you bought on the first day? Loved your trip to to Disney Store and the keychains that you gave them.

Thanks for posting the pictures! You really did keep it up! :) I love the clothes you bought! Awesome. I like to layer too, but I layer sweatshirts and t-shirts. That needs to change. I like how the clothes are more fitted too. Everything looks so much more polished. It really does make a difference.

Now I'm going to look through my closet and apply some of the tips Stacy and Clinton gave to you! :magnify:

Thanks again for sharing! Really nice of you. :)

ETA- You know I think you look great! I posted it a few pages back. It was a great show! My favorite episode of WNTW!

Kelly -

I watched the show on Friday night but fell asleep on day 2 of shopping. So I watched it again on Saturday afternoon - BRAVO!

You look great! Congratulations!

Been following this thread and caught the show the other night. I just love what they did with your hair and make-up. I would have put up a resistance on the bags - but if I gave them up I would have just gone out and bought another one. Thanks for the info on the eye shadow - i'll definately look into it.

Big questions, although maybe I missed it, were you able to keep that black tshirt with the Cinderella carrage on it. I think you were wearing it while they were going through your clothes and it looks like you also have it on in your last day picture with Clinton. I hope you kept it and can you let me know where you got it. I love it and would like to get one.

Thanks,
Linda

Very cute and what a 1st post.

Welcome to Dis! :cool1:

I saw the show on Friday night! It was great! You were a very good guest in my opinon (I watched the rerun episode that was before yours, and I wanted to kill those two sisters) but I didn't feel that way about you at all! You looked stunning! And I love that haircut on you! It's just TOO cute!!

The pics from the past 6 months are great too! Your doing an excellent job keeping it up!

:rotfl: you are too sweet! I actually don't work for PBS though. And I don't work on that 'set' that they showed on the show, those were some props that What not to Wear had rented and brought with them. :rotfl:

Oooops!! I wonder if you should contact PBS in Philadelphia (is there one?) in case anyone ran with the idea and give them your address :rotfl: It sounds like you're OK with everything though and have already replaced what you liked the most.

The hair cream I'll have a friend get & she can ship it to me, it's nowhere near us!

I will take a look at the eyeliner when I get home to see what brand it was. As for the hair stuff, it's more of a thick paste than a cream, if that matters. I probably should get a cream as well at some point! Nick gave me a list of the products he used on my hair during the show which I will have to dig up (I think they were all Arrojo brand products of course!)

I have to say, I wondered if you would be a Disboard person... just something that popped in my head before you went shopping.

Ha!! Good call!!

This is the best tribute ever. Thank you!

I think that WNTW puts downloadable versions of the show on their website after about a week or so. Hopefully it will pop up soon!

Thanks for making us feel part of your adventure! And now go back to WDW so you can replace your Disney wardrobe.

I am going back soonish!!! This is a bit off topic (is it really OT if it's about Disney? Probably not) but I decided last week to book a hotel for six nights in the fall because I haven't been to WDW since July of '06 and i miss it. I called CRO and while I was talking to the woman, she said "Oh you must be calling because of the special rate we gave you." I didn't know what she was talking about, but she insisted that I had been given a special rate (I had never gotten one of those before). So I went to check my email and just one hour earlier I had been assigned a deal of 40% off hotel rates which happened to fall during the week I wanted to go! Talk about an awesome coincidence. So I booked a split stay at WL/BC and had to add an extra night since it was so cheap. hooray!

I think he needs a hair make-over. But he always does a great job of cutting people's hair. Loved the show. What did your friends think of what they put you through? Did they make you take anthing back that you bought on the first day? Loved your trip to to Disney Store and the keychains that you gave them.

My friends were all really happy with the show, although some of them were distraught about the 360 mirror part. Mainly because the pink skirt and the sweater-tank are items I don't actually wear very often (but I thought they would be funny...am I right?). They did make me take back a few things after the first day but only because I went over budget, and I don't really remember what those pieces were anymore.

I think you were wearing it while they were going through your clothes and it looks like you also have it on in your last day picture with Clinton. I was able to keep that shirt because they can't throw away whatever you are wearing on the first day, which was a nice surprise. I'm not sure if they still sell it but I purchased it at Mouse Gears in Epcot in July '06.
