"What Not To Wear" - Show is on again May 29

Kelly! What a GREAT show!! You handled the entire thing with so much grace and class and spunk! I loved it!!

I do have the episode recorded on my computer. I used Windows Media Center and run Windows Vista. If someone can give me directions about uploading the file, I will be happy to do so. I can't even find the darn thing on my computer though :headache: so the directions will need to be pretty specific.

Again - great show, Kelly! You look fabulous!! :cheer2:

I found a sticker on the bottom of the foundation bottle for whoever had asked about it - it's light 02 radiant foundation by pout.

ETA: Whoops, I just checked the website, and apparently the cosmetics company has just closed its doors for good! Oh well!

You are just a doll. Before were just adorable, but after the new clothes and the haircut, just WOW. You DO look like a young Elizabeth Taylor. That pink dress is beautiful on you and the way you have your hair done now is just as great on you. Thanks for all the pictures and the answers to questions we've all been wondering about.

you're so cute! i'm the same age as you and i definitely have the same problem finding clothes that i like. i always feel like i wear clothes that are way too young for me or make me look frumpy. i think your old glasses are really cute. i had a pair just like them except in black for the longest time (from high school until this past november!).

i love your new haircut! so cute!

eta. where is that necklace that you wore to the reveal from? i love necklaces like that, it's gorgeous!

I am bummed that I missed this show. I just found this thread tonight and read through the whole thing! Looks like you had a great time.

I'm working on getting a version online. I have to compress the video so that it doesn't take HOURS to download. As soon as I have something, I'll post a link. Then those who missed the show (or who want to see it again) can save a copy on their computer to watch over and over and over again.

File has been successfully compressed and uploaded. See post #1069 below for details on how to download and watch

Thank you so much! I totally missed it, and it will be great to see it!

Hi Kelly! DH and I enjoyed the show. We both gasped when they threw away your Disney purses! :scared1:

Some of my favorite moments:

"I would like a metallic beret!"
"I WAS on the stage crew!" :lmao:

Glad to see an episode with a person who didn't act over-the-top. You seemed genuine, which made the show great. Not to mention you were a great sport! :thumbsup2

Microsoft Movie Maker and corporate firewalls have been a thorn in my side today. Try right-clicking on the following link and then doing a "Save as..." function to get a copy of the 156Mbyte WMV file that contains the entire episode (sans commercials):

WhatNotToWearKelly.wmv

If you don't save a local copy, your PC will download a copy anyway before playing, and you'll have to download it again to watch it again. Do yourself (and my website) a big favor and save the file before watching it.

Enjoy!!!

Thank you! I loved my old pink glasses too although I really had no idea how crooked they were until I saw the show! Also that necklace I wore to my reveal is a moonstone necklace that I think I got from Monarch. I got almost all of my jewelry from the show there. i can't find a website for the store but they are in NYC at 326 W 47th St.

WOW - I can't believe you did this! Thanks so much for taking the time to make a WMV of the show! :thanks:

I get to watch it now, I'm so excited!

Has anyone actually watched the video from start to finish? I didn't have time to watch the entire thing after converting it to WMV, so I am looking for feedback as to whether or not the video is watchable. :happytv:

Kelly, I finally had time to watch this today. Congrats, you were great and your makeover turned out wonderfully. It was great to watch someone I "know" on the show.

Towncrier,
I have clicked on the link several different times but don't get anything but a blank page. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Any thoughts?

I think you need to right click on it and then click save as. That worked for me! :)

I finally got to see this last night. You look soooo good! I really enjoyed the whole episode, you seem so nice. I think the show is meant to help nice people like yourself and not those who like to throw the rules back in Stacey and Clinton's face. Congrats again!!

Kelly is correct. If you left click on the link, your computer will attempt to open the WMV file directly. If your computer is configured to open WMV files with Windows Media Player, then a window should open. Since this is not setup as a streaming video file, your computer would have to download the entire video before it would start playing.

Perhaps I should have mentioned that your really need a broadband (DSL or Cable) connection to retrieve this file. I cannot imagine how many hours (days?) it would take to load this file over dialup.

I watched it! Towncrier - Thank you so much for doing that. I am so glad I was able to watch it.

Kelly, I watched WNTW several times in college, but am not really that much into fashion, so I never paid much attention to it, but I loved your episode! Especially when you went into World of Disney.

As far as Clinton and Stacey go, they seem like very nice people, but they definatly need a Disney fix. And that Mickey Mouse bad did not suck, LOL. :goodvibes I wonder what they would think of my bag collection, since aside from a plain black, and a plain blue one, all the bags I own are Disney.

Thank you both! Now you see why I asked for help uploading what I was able to record on my computer. Here I thought watching it would help me figure that out. :rotfl: :upsidedow

Again, great show, Kelly!!
