I can't believe that I didn't think if this when we were doing the movies, but when I hear John Barry's soundtrack to "Somewhere In Time", I get choked up. Same with the soundtrack of "Saving Private Ryan"

The other day I heard John Lennon's "Give Peace A Chance" the other day, and in light of what is happening here in the D.C. area, it made me weep. I think I needed to do that. Such fitting words for such a troubled world.

Three songs will bring tears to my eyes...Color my World by Chicago...Seasons in the Sun...and the instrumental Music Box Dancer. These songs remind me of my first dh who was killed in a motorcycle accident at age 32, eighteen years ago. Our two children were the light of his life.

Sorry, I can't say "Amazing Grace" makes me cry, unless they are tears of dread. I really, really don't like that song. Never have. It's kind of like cantelope for me. I like the smell of that melon, but I can't get over the taste of it. Blech. I know I should try to like Amazing Grace, just can't get past the mecabre of it.
