I was proposed to in November for my first marriage and June for this one!:D

Not on any special days like Valentine's!!!:p :bounce:

DH proposed to me on our First Year Anniversary....it was April 29th.

Not being obnoxious or anything but why does it matter??
We don't celebrate it or anything???

March

DH proposed in November over Thanksgiving holiday.

We were married the following Valentine's Day

In July, I think it would have been on my Birthday but I was half-dead with pneumonia at the time. The first time we went out after that he proposed :)

Valentine's Day and I knew it was coming. I had picked out my engagement ring because I didn't trust him to choose something I'd like, and still don't! Our tastes are so different, I guess opposites attract! We were married in October 1980.

Now I wish he would've surprised me, oh well, I guess we're not doing too bad, since that was way back in 1979 and we're still married!

October and we got married the following March.

As an aside, I unwittingly set up the whole proposal for DH!! I had won an overnight stay in a hotel about an hour away (we were living in a small town then and the hotel was in the city!), so we picked a weekend to use it. I reserved the room, made reservations at a nice restaurant for dinner and made reservations for Sunday brunch. He even asked if I wanted to include 2 other couples that we hung out with for dinner, but I said no, that it would be nice for it to be just the 2 of us! So he proposes at dinner that night! Pretty funny when you think about it.

Todd proposed to me March 4, 1994 & we were married January 28,1995! :D

A guy I used to be very close friends with is a jeweler and I knew Todd had paid him to make a ring for me. So when we stopped at his house for a quick "visit" I knew he had the ring. I was SO impatient and wouldn't stop bugging him that he caved and gave me the ring earlier than he had originally planned. BUT before gave it to me, he pointed out that we were in our car in the parking lot of a shopping mall and that would be how I'd always remember his proposal. I told him it didn't matter and the ring didn't matter either, I just wanted to marry him someday soon.

It may not sound romantic but for Todd and I it was one of the best moments of our life together.
:love2:

The only bad thing about that day was discovering that the actor John Candy had died.... so we usually mark March 4th with a viewing of "Uncle Buck" or "Cool Runnings" :(
