Ok so I noticed quite a few threads asking what makes people upset, disappointed, etc....so I want to know what makes you happy at WDW?

I love seeing my parents interact with the characters, I know a bit of role reversal, but when I see my mother playing with Chip or my father Grumpy I have to laugh.

I love talking to people sitting next to me at the parades, great way to pass the time.

I love noticing things I may have missed before but make my trip all that more enjoyable.

The 'main street feeling' the crowds of people who are all as excited as you, the smell of the popcorn, the music drifting through the street, the sight of the castle, the sound of the train shouting 'all aboooaaard' the children laughing, basically the whole atmosphere :cool1:

re-living my childhood memories with my children, and hopefully this year taking my parents.

Having my 14 yo dd hold my hand in public and get so excited that she calls me "Mommy." She has so much fun that she forgets she's too cool to hang out with DH and I. That is the main reason we go on vacation there--besides the fact that I adore it, of course.

Seeing the castle when we walk into MK.
Finding characters I love (especially Robin Hood)
Getting a Mickey ice cream bar
All the sounds & smells

The people! Contrary to so many current threads we have always had great experiences meeting new people and just being so happy to be there and total strangers getting that and responding to it. We met a family on these boards before we went on our honeymoon and spent a day there with them and we were blown away by how sweet and thoughtful and generous they were to total strangers (us). They brought gifts for us and a GOH badge for me and took us to dinner. They were amazing and whenever I feel disgusted by a negative thread I remember WDWGoose and her charming family.

The magic! I love entering each park for the first time each trip. I love the smells and sounds. I love eating a Kaki Gori while strolling World Showcase. I love the Boardwalk at night. I love CMs and interacting with them. I could go on, there's so much to love.

The songs. WDW songs are the only ones that don't bug me when I get them stuck in my head! ;)

I also love how excited my DH gets, he absolutely adores WDW.

Seeing the joy on my kids faces.
Talking to people
Having a mickey bar
Watching Wishes

Last but not least....riding the TTA. For some reason I love hearing
"Paging Mr Morrow...Mr Tom Morrow your party from Saturn has arrived,
please give them a ring." LOL I know its probably a strange one.

The excitment from my DS that he is going to Mickey's house soon!
Walking into your hotel lobby to check-in
Remembering past memories - especially our honeymoon and our DS's first trip
Making new memories
The feeling you get when you first enter the parks
DS's face when we are just walking around or when he sees his favorite characters - ahh, that's magic!
Not feeling guilty about stuffing my face ALL day long ;)

I love WDW!!! :earboy2:

The feeling you get the first minute of any of the nighttime shows. Wishes, Illuminations, Fantasmic... I don't know about all of you, I think it's the anticipation of waiting for it, but the first few notes of the shows always get to me. I start smiling and tearing up! It's great!!

Being one of the first families in line at MGM and being entertained by the saxophone quintet and singer while we waited. Having the CM say "Welcome Home" (DVC member). Being on an empty bus and chatting with the driver. Getting squirted by the Muppets. Getting through any line without having to wait. Getting that scarce Illuminations cruise. I could go on and on.

Wow, that is so tough to answer because there are SO many things...I guess if I just had to pick one, I would pick the Cast Members and the characters. They truly create the magic!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

The little things of Magic Kingdom.....

The opening show at MK,

Mickey waving goodbye at the end of the day

Tinkerbell's flight

walking up Main Street

seeing the castle

arriving at Orlando airport

Spectra Magic parade

That first bus ride to the first park of the trip.

Finally (after having waited an entire year), sinking my teeth into a carmel apple from the Confectionary on Main Street.

I love the feeling of utter contentment I feel once I enter the WDW Resort. :goodvibes
