Disney with a LVAD??

My husband has a LVAD (left ventricular assist device) and a implanted defibrillator (ICD) where he cannot can not do any rides with significant magnetic fields. He will have a letter from his doctor as he can't go through any scanning machines with the metal detectors, he can be body searched, will he need to produce the letter to avoid going through each park?
Has anyone here visted the parks with someone who has a LVAD....love to talk with you!!!!

I think @chrisney has a family member with an LVAD, and I believe they may have APs so should be able to answer your questions.

Just tell the cm that you can not go though the meter detector they will not look at Dr notes but you can keep it with you.

My mom has an ICD/pacemaker and I have an insulin pump that can't go through the scanner. We do not produce any such letter and just tell the security guard we have medical devices that cannot go through the scanner. Some will ask if using a wand is ok and others will have you do a quick self-pat down.
