I think it's in the eye of the beholder. For me, some things are "Magical." For instance, we have a house in Cape May that we bought with my DSis. This was bought in '98, we bought
DVC in '03. Ever since we bought DVC, my house in Cape May has been "our very own Grand Villa" by the sea in my thoughts. The house is still the house on some level, but DVC has made it magical for me because it's a place that we can share what we have with family and friends. It's DVC's connection with the magic of WDW that helps me associate many gatherings of family and friends as being "Magical."
We take other, wonderful vacations. Last year I visited Poland on a Baltic Cruise. This was the land of our heritages, DH's and mine. That was aweome and moving, it connected me with roots and was spiritual. Natual wonders make me feel that way. This year, DH and I will go to Glacier NP and I expect to be moved, but not to feel magic.
Anyway, I never gave "Magical" much thoughts until DVC, and I used to go to WDW lots. So, DVC, in particular our very first GG celebrating DM's 85th birthday party was the start of my adventure with the "Magical!" I hope these times continue!
