What made you smile today?

Watching Liberace as guest panelist on an old episode of What's My Line?

The guy just radiates happiness and joy. Who cares if he was a little flamboyant? :teeth:

The OP's was GREAT! :thumbsup2 (party because I could see DS doing the same thing).

Last night DS4 and I decorated the house for Easter. Ever since, (including while he slept) he's been carrying around an orange plastic egg, calling him "eggie". Eggie went to preschool with him today too. Maybe Eggie will replace "rockie" now ;). (he likes to pick up a rock off of the ground & carry it with him for days...just to chit chat with). :)

But today..I actually laughed when we were walking up to his preschool...He looked at me & said (while carrying Eggie) "Mom, this is gonna ROCK!!"

DBF is truly a manly-man from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet. But also is one of the most sensitive, understanding, unselfish, loving, caring, I could go on... individual you could meet. He's the type where he has it all under control so at least he thinks. He called me today, I'm at home on leave and we got into a discussion about our needs and wants in our relationship and he admitted out of the blue that he needed me. Now for any woman who knows; their man admitting that they need you is not an easy feat some won't even admit it. So that made me smile because that helps me to help him with the rough patch that we are going through right now. :)

Now that made me smile. I loved Liberace

To the OP- that is TOOO sweet!! I can't wait to have a kiddo of my own!

My SIL called me with news that a job is opening up where she works, and I am applying for it. The woman doing the hiring knows my dh (her son and dh are friends- spent a lot of time together in HS), so hopefully, knowing someone will pay off! The possibility of getting a new job made me smile!

Not today, but last night I played a clarinet solo in band that still has me smiling (with relief!). I played a Woody Hermann piece (hard!!!) and I was shaking, but I said, you know, this is a way for a really cheap thrill. I pay band dues and then I get terrorized! How much would that cost at the Tower of Terror.

My 2.5yo son saying repeatedly "I really, really love it!" or "Mommy, what time is it?"

Not just once or twice, but over and over again. lol

When I was driving home this afternoon, I passed the same area I go by many times a week. Well something caught my eye and it appeared to be a large bird at the top of a light pole. I turned around and stopped on a side street to get a better look. OMG, it was an owl but then I was like, an owl in the middle of the day? And it's not moving either.

Yeah, it was the very rare Owliss Plasticus. They put this stupid plastic owl up there so that the ospreys wouldn't build a nest and possibly short out the power.

I got back in the car and hoped nobody noticed what I had been doing. :teeth:

My DS4 looked at me very earnestly at dinner and said "so how was work today Mom?"

What a cutie-patootie! :goodvibes

The look on my DS10 face when my DD2 accidently wet her pants -she was sitting on his stomach while he was laying on the floor watching cartoons. :teeth:

My middle son came home on a surprise visit from college!!

............................with all his laundry! Smile starting to fade!

Virgo there is one of those Owliss Plasticus actually in the open corridor of a HS I sub at. Sure gave me a double take the first time I saw it. They are trying to keep the pigeons roosting over the good cafeteria's door.

Today is DD's 2nd Birthday. We'll be having all of the IL's over tomorrow night for a party, so DD and I had to run all kinds of errands today while DS was at preschool. But... DD and I stopped at Burger King for lunch... just the two of us. Had a very nice meal and as I was putting the trash on our tray to throw it away, DD took her empty juice box and walked over to the garbage and threw it in (without being asked!). So cute. :goodvibes

I kept my best friends kids today for the first time (We grew up together) and her dd (8) and my dd (7) were jumping rope together. It reminded me so much of us doing that at their age and it was such a surreal moment. It was a teary eyed moment and a happy moment at the same time. :)

Loved the Peep and Eggie stories.

Virgo, :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

My BIG smile for the day: DS16 was named Algebra student of the quarter! Considering he failed algebra last year, this was not just cause for a smile but for a celebration!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I was chatting online and watching a movie.
My best friend Ashley gets online.
She ims be a hi.
I tell her hi back and tell her that my best friend's wedding is on tv.
she says omg, what channel.
i tell her tbs and she says, "why is it on tv?"
i ask her why it WOULDN'T be on tv.......
and she says OMG, I am so stupid, I thought you mean my wedding is on tv. :confused3 :rotfl2:

Finally scoring a goal for my soccer team and DD8 finding her "piggy" which has been MIA for almost a year (it was under my bed!).

My ds3 made me smile today. :teeth: He has a new pet!!!

Guess what it is? No... not a dog.... definatly not a cat.... Nope, not a bird, or a fish.

My ds3 has a pet ... PEEP! :rotfl:

He got a marshmellow peep from his exchange partner last week, and for a week now the Peep has been 'living' in our refridgerator. He REFUSES to eat it, or let anyone else eat it. He checks on it twice a day to make sure it's alright. He talks in its 'ear' quietly, and at night he even gives it a goodnight kiss. :cloud9:

OMG! This is the cutest story ever!!!!
