What kind of "regular" food is available for kids at Boma?

We are staying at AKL and have never been to Boma. Most of us are not adventurous eaters and I was wondering what kinds of foods are offered for children? Thanks

Remember that it is a buffet so everyone can get food from all the stations.

That said, one station had traditional Disney kid fare including chicken nuggets, pizza, and mac-n-cheese.

At the carving station, at least one meat was unseasoned/sauce on the side, so that would work. There were several fairly basic rice/couscous dishes that would likely work too. There is a plain lettuce salad with both 'standard' and 'exotic' dressing choices on the side. There are 3-4 soups and 1 always seems to be pretty basic (veggie, cream of mushroom, etc). Plain bread/rolls. And, of course, a big dessert table that includes the normal cookies and brownies as well as the fancy stuff.

Yes eaten there twice and one station is nuggets, plain pasta noddles etc - adults or kids can choose that

There is also carved beef and salmon.

Lots of small desserts to try aswell - my DD enjoyed those.

We are not Boma fans - food is sweet not spicy.

My kids loved Boma! Besides the kids station, they love going to the carving station and getting some meat, they like the rolls and butter, the rolls are like cornbread, and they love the desserts!

They have carved meats and pasta like others have said, as well as some potatoes. Desserts include bread pudding, a type of cheesecake, cookies - pretty normal stuff.

On the "kids" buffet there are all the usual suspects - chicken nuggets, mac & cheese, french fries, etc. - I'm sure the non-adventurous will find something to eat there. There are also regular salad options and usually one "normal" soup available.

Just wanted to add that my picky eaters LOVED Boma and can't wait to go back again. They all left with a full tummy and we enjoyed every minute of it. (Even our waiter was GREAT!)
Hope you enjoy too. Lots of goodies for everyone to eat. :thumbsup2

Our DD (7 at the time) doesn't like Disney mac&cheese and didn't care for their nuggets either. So she had cookies for dinner (it's vacation).

We haven't been back in 4 years and have no plans to return.

You don't have to be very adventurous to enjoy Boma IMO. I've eaten at African restaurants all over the country and Boma is the most Americanized and toned down of any that I've visited.

Love Boma's. Your kids will find stuff at the kid's area. Actually I've seen adults get food there too. It really isn't that "exotic" IMHO. It's Disney after all.

Enjoy The Magic!!

DD would have me remind you there are strawberries and more strawberries.
