...the kind of idiot who gets all the way to the end and realizes she's actually parked on the next row over.

I got to follow her as she walked her cart slowly right down the center of the aisle. She went down to the last couple of cars in the row then walked in between two cars, when I got to the end I went to the next lane over and as I was parking I saw that she was unloading her groceries two cars down on the same row as me.

Maybe she was just having a moment, forgetting which lane she parked in, but for gosh sakes have a brain fart while walking on the SIDE of the aisle not in the middle.

:rotfl:

Apparently there are people out there that do this. Or I was behind the same person taking a Sunday stroll down the middle of the isle. :sad2:

Meanwhile I cannot even get a car to stop when I come out of the store and cross in the crosswalk. You know the one with the stop sign.

Push your cart out infront of you by a foot or so. Cars won't stop for pedestrians but they are terrified of a grocery cart.

I'm sort of on the fence about this one. If people walk too close to the cars, the drivers don't see them and the person almost gets hit. On the other hand, walking in the middle of the road they are blocking traffic. :-/

That's the benefit of a V8. You pull about 6" behind the offending wanderer & rev it up :thumbsup2

Not that I'd ever do such a thing :)

Ugh, I hate that!

Another parking lot peeve is when someone knows that you're waiting to take their spot, but they decide to take their sweet time leaving. One time in particular I knew someone was doing it just to be a jerk, so I pulled right behind them & just sat there so they couldn't leave.

Probably the same person who blocks the aisle in the grocery store with their cart while they take item after item off the shelf and read the labels or talk on their cell phone. I never understand how people don't realize that they are holding up others because they literally are taking up the whole aisle and there's no room to pass. And Hey! I'm all about reading labels, but push your cart to the side.

I just bump their cart with mine. It's easier to apologize than to ask permission.

LOL... I just embarrassed my daughter yesterday when we were coming out of Target and a guy in an SUV sailed right through that stop sign without even slowing down. I screamed "stop sign" at him. Didn't do anything but it made me feel a little better. That bothers me almost as much as people on their cell phones while driving.

I must admit that I have (in the past) done this... sorry.

I've done this... and I am not at all sorry about it. The person was following was RIGHT behind me. Like, I could feel the heat of the car they were so close. Plus there was parking just not as close as they would have liked. So they are just lazy on top of it.

Needless to say, I had a phone call that HAD to be done just then.

So that is my pet peeve. Don't follow me to my car just because you are lazy and give me some space!

Considering how many trips to Sam's Club, Wal-Mart, and the supermarket I make every week, I have to say I don't encounter too many center aisle strollers in the parking lots. Watch. Now that I've said that, it will happens three times tomorrow.

I never thought about the idea that center aisle strollers were avoiding being hit by cars emerging from parking spots.

As for shoppers leaving their parking spot in too leisurely a fashion for the person leaving, it bugs me, but I thought it was just me not giving people the benefit of the doubt.

If you have ever been frustrated waiting for someone to leave a spot, you will hate me for the story I am about to tell you. Twenty-five years ago, Dh and I used to live in the city. For forty cents, I could walk one block from our apartment and hop on the bus to the mall. I only drove to the mall if I needed to shop for something I couldn't easily carry home.

A few days before Christmas, I drove to the mall to do my Christmas shopping. It was a weekday morning, just a few minutes before the mall opened, and I managed to find a great spot close to a mall entrance. I shopped for a couple hours but had to leave before I was finished because I had to work the lunch shift at the restaurant where I was a waitress. Since I had a lot of bags already and I knew I was going to come back to the mall later to finish shopping the in the afternoon, I put my bags in the trunk of my car, shut it, opened the driver's side door to retrieve my Walkman off the seat, locked the car, and walked back toward the mall to catch the bus.

Of course, as soon as other drivers saw me approach my own car with bags, they headed in my direction. I'm sure they assumed I was leaving, and it only seemed more obvious when I opened the driver's side door. I can imagine the frustration of watching me leave the car exactly where it was.

Jeeezzzz, why are you guys stalking me in parking lots:confused3:rotfl: My mom is going through chemotherapy for lung cancer and it has left her disoriented and confused a lot..it's a common side effect from chemo that's called "chemo brain". When I do stuff like that, I just tell myself I'm taking mom's "chemo brain" away from her for the day:)

Eh, that doesn't bother me as long as the person who is putting bags in his/her car indicates that he/she is not leaving. I often do this at Christmas time (go to my car to put bags in it). I just indicate that I am not leaving, so the car can move on.

A couple of weeks ago, I stopped at a spot at the mall because some guy was opening up his car. I waited patiently while he put something in the trunk, opened his driver's side door, got out and went around to passenger side door, and then eventually locked his car and headed back to the mall. He looked up at me several times when he was doing all of this, but never indicated that he wasn't leaving. So rude!

Nothing makes me more angry than a driver stalking my spot and getting impatient with me. I will take my sweet time loading the kids (at times 4-6 of the little ones), getting them in their car seats and loading the groceries. I will not rush just because he/she doesn't want to drive around and look for another spot.

I hope you never follow me to my car when I'm testing my blood glucose and having a snack. There are all sorts of reasons why someone does not immediately pull out of a parking spot.

Not a fan of parking spot stalkers either.

I hate it when people walk down the middle of the parking lot aisle. If they dont move (i figure they can sense im behind them) i just honk. They move real quick. Sorry but im not gonna drive behind you until you decide to move over. GET OUT OF THE WAY.

Yep, I do this too! OR i just move their cart myself.

Um yeah...If you are harassing me for my spot I WILL take my sweet time getting ready to leave.

If you are nice and leave me room to back out and don't do the creep(coast a few inches stop...coast a few inches stop) I will probably leave in an orderly fashion.

For the most part, I got away from this problem by always parking at the far end of the lot :)
